  • I enjoyed looking at your pictures of D-day sites. Two of my uncles were part of that invasion. One was killed in Aug.of '44 in France.. Both were infantry men.Their names = Roy Brooks, and John Brooks. They were in different divisions. Do you think you might have known either of them.. My email address= jhyoung6@yahoo.com

  • Hi there: Just surfed in while looking for pictures of Normandy/D-Day. Your pictures were a lovely return trip for me! I went to Normandy in Summer of 1997. We toured all of the "debarkement& quot; sites and Mt. St. Michel as well as including all the shots in your little album. Visiting the American Cemetary at Colleville Sur Mer was one of the most profoundly moving moments of my entire life. As a teacher, I wish I could take all of my students on a field trip. Anyhow, thank you for the great pictures--I'm going to go dig out my little box of memories of that trip and look through my own pictures. Mairead419

  • I think of those men, young and not so young, who risked their lives and so many actually died on those sands for our freedom.

  • What a wonderful tour of France. My father was a part of Operation Market Garden. He survived that, as well as the Battle of the Bulge. We spent about seven years in Germany following the war as dependants. Made many trips to France. When I was a senior in highschool, we took our senior class trip to Paris. Thanks for the memories.
