Towns and sites along the Mosel River

Album Description:

Bernkastel-Kues claims the title of ‘Pearl of the Mosel’, straddling the Mosel River and is enclosed by dramatically-steep hilsides. At the heart of Bernkastel is the Marktplatz (market square), an almost unbelievably romantic composition of half-timbere

  • This is also a great album Rodger. I like these little towns along the Rhine and Mosel river. They are so scenic with their beautiful half-timberwork houses, and let’s not forget their wrought-iron sign-board, of which I have put an album on my other site (wely246). I had a great time viewing your pictures of Bernkastel and Burg Eltz. When we were in Cochem, a few years ago, I bought a little book with the history of the castles that are and were along the Mosel, of which Burg Eltz is one of them. Thanks for sharing, these beautiful photos. Because of them I will certainly think about a visit to see this place for myself one time. Thanks for your comment in the Cochem-Trier album. I do appreciate your opinion very much. Greetings from Holland, Els (wely246/evanwely)

  • Hello from Texas, have been enjoying your albums, especially this one since it's from close to my hometown in Germany! Thanks for sharing. Marita
