Album Description:

The location is Lake Toya in Hokkaido. Man landscaped the lakeshore and turned it into a garden; parts of it look like huge flower arrangements with rocks, grasses and flowers, of which I am particularly fond.

 • Hello Stranger, Hope you are well. This album is so beautiful, fantastic photos all. Our weather is beautiful right now in the 70's and perfect for gardening which has been taking up all my spare time. I haven't been very good about visiting lately but in about a week my spring clean up in my gardens will be finished an hopefully I will have more time to visit my WS friends album. Take care my dear friend. Hugs and love sent your way. Laura

 • Dear Gabriela, thank you for your generous comment "from #1-91" in my featured "Florida Birds" album. Someone said it was too long; I'm glad its size didn't bother you! ... I love this album of 'Summer along the lake' and cannot choose a favorite it. Your compositions are beautiful and even the 'colors in the grasses' is lovely. Keep 'shooting' my friend.

Bug hugs, Judy aka L@dybug, Florida

 • Hi Gabriela, I love it how you capture the beauty of the Japanese gardens and parks, like in this album. Maybe you see the beauty more clearly because you grew up in an other world. Where did you grow up? In the UK? The meeting point of the rocks is unique! The lake is awesome and so are the falls especially the beautiful view #20 with the irises near the falls. Your compositions are very scenic and very serene, a pleasure for the eye and the soul. Thanks for that, and thank you for your lovely message in my February album. You are very kind. Now we are waiting for the autumn, for a little bit of rain, for the first rain after nearly 6 month. Have a wonderful day! Galit from Israel

 • Gabriela, During the three years I lived in Japan, Hokkaido was one of my favorite areas. I lived just south of Yokohama (navy wife at the time) and toured as much as I could while trying to work. I envy you living there all the time. The Japanese way of life suited me just fine. Thank you for sharing all your wonderful albums with us. I continue to look when I have the time. Lynn, Bonanza, Oregon, USA

 • Dear Gabrelia: Thank you first of all for visiting my album of Wild Flowers. Thank you also for your very nice comments. I am no photographer, just a gal who has a cheap 35mm camera taking pictures of things I like. So I really appreciate words of praise. This album is outstanding in all respects to me. Beautifully done and love all the pictures. Your shots are so very clear and sharp. Wonderful. Kay

 • Hi Gabriela, Very nice photos of the water - the rocks under water are my favorites as well as the Scenic Lake Toya and the Flowers in the Grasses. Grasses are always poetic, especially around wind and water. Another lovely shot is the Rock and Ferns, and the best shot I like is the Azaleas around Cherry Trunks. Beautiful and peaceful, as always, with lots of vivid color! Love, Ina

 • Hi Gabriela, What a beautiful album of flowers, each one in there own way different but exquisite, I would love to see a wetlands garden, behind where I live is a large area set aside for flood water, so it is a natural Wetlands area. Thanks for all the Gb's and give my regards to Yoshiyuki and take care, Ken

 • Hello Gabriela, A likable area to photograph, trees, rocks, flowers and water. Interesting enough I find that even an almost nurse tree in pix #38 has similarities of this region, another likable photo. Thanks you for this showing, the colors of the azalea are as usual, beautiful-you've a good eye, young lady. Best regards from Coastal Oregon. Ron

My favorites (after paring them down) are 1,2,9, 11(which is breathtaking), 13, 17, 30 and 34. You did a beautiful job of capturing the beauty at this lake. I like the variety in your photos and also the title of the album. Your photography is outstanding! Love You, Candy
