Hello, Suresh, Delving again into your fascinating "archive" of albums from around the world, I have found -- and thoroughly enjoyed -- this delightful tour of picturesque Suzhou. Never having been to China, I rely on pictures such as yours to provide a window to it, so I particularly appreciate the time that you spent compiling and sharing this fine collection. It is no wonder that this area of the city is a popular tourist spot, with its graceful, distinctive traditional architecture, serene canals, and colourful lamps and kites. Thank you, as well, for your helpful explanations! And many thanks for your detailed comments on my album on the Irish village of Enniskerry. Hello Suresh. We are well and truly spoilt here at Webshots, with all the wonderful places we can 'visit', without even leaving our homes. Hello again Suresh, I did make it to Suzhou in October, but only on a day trip as a ships tour from Shanghai. Too fast a run around for me! You had a lot better weather than we had (ie less Smog!). Gardens & wildlife are my main interests now & my garden albums are on ericy102. "Images of" etc from our 27 night cruise are on this name. Have to tell you though, I have just had the most fantastic trip to Antarctica, allowed to go on my own this time as my wife had no interest in going. Scenery & wildlife in all weathers that is unbelievable, hope you can find time to view. Eric

Suresh, I decided this would be a perfect day to drift away to China through your album as friends of ours are in China now to bring home to Florida the 4 year old deaf girl they have adopted. My thoughts will be in China until they get home and I was comforted by this beautiful album. I know my son went to Shanghai when he was in China - goodness - 20 years ago - but I don't remember pictures of this area. Hi Suresh. A very elegant album created with style and skill. The silhouettes with the sunsets are my favorites. The album with commentary make for a more special visit. Your trip must have been magnificent. It is a distinction of the people to maintain these gardens for as long as they have. Here in the States one must fight to keep anything of history. It always feels as if you know the place extremely well, through your stories and anecdots, and it creates a feeling of really travelling with you. This album is very interesting. For me it shows an unfamiliar place. It did often reminded me of Venice, but then came beautiful pagodas that I really enjoyed. Also loved the sunset shots. Hi Suresh! What a surprise, this beautiful and well executed album. Some plays are unmistakably Chinese, but others could be mistaken for Venice, Italy scenes.
