Hi Suresh! What a surprise, this beautiful and well executed album. Some plays are unmistakably Chinese, but others could be mistaken for Venice, Italy scenes. Until now I had never heard of this place, so thank you for showing me a bit of it. And it's of course an honour to be the first to comment!

Suresh, you album reflects what was seen to what can "be" felt. I put the slideshow on, sat back and went traveling with you. I had NEVER imagined that place to look as it doe's. Thank you for letting me share this journey through your eyes, as I always feel your photo's are beautiful. I may never see these places for REAL, but your pictures take me, as close as I can get. Your photo's reflect the view of the photographer. I hope you have a lot more days to discover the world, I'm enjoying taking the ride with you.... Your Friend, Melody (I was afraid to write anything, I feel humbled by some of your works of art). I wonder where I shall travel to, in the next couple of years :),,, you make a lot of people smile, count me as one of them!

Hello Suresh! The albums of your trips to the most exotic places on earth are always breathtaking. This one makes no exception. Suzhou, a place of which I never had heard before has some Venetian charactaristics indeed but on the other hand it still is typical Chinese. Your manificent photography makes it a great joy to travel with you and I am pleased with your invitation. Kind regards, Tjebbe

Congratulations Suresh on yet another outstanding album. Wow... what a beautiful part of the world so eloquently captured! Suzhou is a romantic place... such a feeling of relaxation, peace and harmony - subtle beauty... mysterious too! I love the Tongli and Shan Tang canals and those bridges, all different with character and charm. The way you captured the sunset on the bridge and the colours of the kites also impressed me. Thank you Suresh for sharing your outstanding photographs... you are a true artist. Ann (Australia)

THANKS Suresh! Thanks to be my guide in far east (from my perspective :-) ) and to show me life and people from so different countries. This album that show life over the water is really fascinating for my eyes. It is, in effect, a strange mix of inusual and exotic situation with an enviroment that I have see in Venice (as you to you have remembered). Great photos for an excellent reportage! My compliments and my tahnks my guide Ruggero PS: I LOVE the quality of your portraits (I'm thinking at 41)

Hello Suresh! How did I miss this when it first came out? In any case, I'm glad you added to it today so that it popped up in my window. It's beautiful! I never knew such a place existed, but then my knowledge of the east is sadly lacking. Thank you for giving me this beautiful lesson. Warmest regards from California, Beth

Dear Suresh! Thanks for the invitation. How nice that you keep travelling! How nice that you keep taking us with you on your trips! It always feels as if you know the place extremely well, through your stories and anecdots, and it creates a feeling of really travelling with you. This album is very interesting. For me it shows an unfamiliar place. It did often reminded me of Venice, but then came beautiful pagodas that I really enjoyed. Also loved the sunset shots. Thank you also for the message in my guestbook. Of course I agree with every word you said. I hope it can help in anything, but, honestly, I'm not very optimistic. Still I think it's worth trying. All the problems and the bad attitude drive good people to leave the community. It's too bad, because we have a lot of beauty and friendship here. Take care, Orly

Hi Suresh. A very elegant album created with style and skill. The silhouettes with the sunsets are my favorites. The album with commentary make for a more special visit. Your trip must have been magnificent. It is a distinction of the people to maintain these gardens for as long as they have. Here in the States one must fight to keep anything of history. The sake of advancement destroys much of the past. Some cities are worse than others and these cities have no foresight. Thank you for the invite!!! Eti

Dear Sir, I was honoured by your visit and appreciation of my featured album. Thank you so much for the kind comments. I was also surprised that, though a several times visitor to Japan, you have missed Hakone which is an area mostly and firstly visited by foreign tourists or visitors. Your album here is a very interesting and attractive photo-journey of a place that I'll never have the opportunity to see with my own eyes. Therefore I am glad that you are giving such detailed explanations. The gardens and the pavilions, the sights along the canals are very special, of mesmerizing beauty. I DO hope that this album will be featured and as such made popular all over the world. It really deserves it. Friendly greetings from Japan, Yoshiyuki Tanaka

Dear Suresh, On August 31, I wrote in your guestbook this message that by chance I had saved on Word, so I re place it: Dear Suresh, For sure, that is an unexpected album! You don't speak about Your trips in advance reserving a better surprise to all of us, what is very nice! We have been in Suzhou during our 2002 trip to China but did not see all You saw; This album is a great addition to our visit and is so rich in the captions; I read them carefully and took a real pleasure to see the whole album; I loved the Canal views 2, 3 & 7,Tongli bridge & canal sidewalk 18 & 27, Tuisi garden 29, Ruigang Pagoda 33, Lijing Lou Hall 34 and should choose as master pieces pictures of Shan Tang canal 9, the magnificent Chinese sunset in 16, the Ruigang Pagoda in the distance blurred by the warm air and Wangshiyuan Garden view 40 for its composition and sharpness; Thank You for the kind words in my 2 poor albums killed on birthday and always not visible under their topics; Best regards, Jacques Dear Suresh, I only forgot to say that this album, as the Uzbekistan one, MERITS TO BE FEATURED and that the portrait in 41 with a shy smile reveals all Your sensibility and Your talent! I also enjoy your albums of a far away land that I can only see in pictures. Keep in touch and I'm happy to hear from you again in my "True Grit Out West" guestbook. I was planning to get up to Mt. Rainer for some Fall colors, but its been raining most of the time this Fall, and now I see snow on the Cascade foothills which means there's probably a lot of snow at Mt. Rainer....well see. G'day Suresh and my grateful thanks to you for all the work you have put into this collection. Such richness! The history, traditions and legends you added to your shots has kept me intrigued for ages as I wandered over bridges and through gardens, along canals, watched cormorants fishing, and had to still my fingers that were itching to try out some of those colourful kites. This has been such a beautiful experience - I truly commend you for your attention to detail. Lorraine - Australia

Suresh, I decided this would be a perfect day to drift away to China through your album as friends of ours are in China now to bring home to Florida the 4 year old deaf girl they have adopted. My thoughts will be in China until they get home and I was comforted by this beautiful album. I know my son went to Shanghai when he was in China - goodness - 20 years ago - but I don't remember pictures of this area. Thank you for transporting me there through your excellent photography and commentary. Carol

Hello again Suresh, I did make it to Suzhou in October, but only on a day trip as a ships tour from Shanghai. Too fast a run around for me! You had a lot better weather than we had (ie less Smog!). Gardens & wildlife are my main interests now & my garden albums are on ericy102. "Images of" etc from our 27 night cruise are on this name. Have to tell you though, I have just had the most fantastic trip to Antarctica, allowed to go on my own this time as my wife had no interest in going. Scenery & wildlife in all weathers that is unbelievable, hope you can find time to view. Eric

Hello Suresh, This is a beautiful album! How nice to come back to visit another of your albums filled with excellent shots of the areas you've visited! I'm most interested in China right now, as my older son has been there recently, to Hong Kong and for business in Schenzen (I think that's the spelling). As always, the photos I find here are marvelous ... I've downloaded some to my screen saver collection of Asian photos. Hope things are going well for you at this time in your life; and, that joy & happiness are yours in great abundance! With warm regards, Jodi

Hello Suresh. We are well and truly spoilt here at Webshots, with all the wonderful places we can 'visit', without even leaving our homes. If only there was the time and the possibility to visit everywhere one would like to go. Sadly this is unrealistic. At least we can dream... I very much enjoyed your album. I also stopped by to thank you for revisiting my Valentine's album. Feature's are fun , but it those friends who drop by who make the day even more special. I was very happy to find your kind note. Take care. Best wishes, Jayne xx

Hello Suresh, Thank you for your kind comment! I am so glad that it led me to your beautiful albums! I will probably never get to see these scenes for myself, but I have really enjoyed seeing them through your wonderful pictures. Greetings from Arkansas, Jayne

Great album. I love the architure, water, boats and the colors. This is a great way to explore the world, through a good photographers eye. Thank you for sharing, Myrna from Washington USA

An amazing album Suresh. You have been lucky not only to have traveled so much but to have had the talent to capture your journeys on camera and share with the rest of the world.I wanted to stop by and thank you for taking the time to comment on my POTD last week. Sorry it's taken so long to get back to you. Best wishes from Scotland, Craig
