Hello Candi, I think you have gone full year with the last additions, all fine examples of the beauty of Michigan. I love the unemcumbered beach shots on Lake Huron and I especially love the Old Mackinaw Pointe Lighthouse pictures; you really presented the lighthouse beautifully. (I downloaded the first Lighthouse picture for the computer's wallpaper file.) I agree the fence detracts from the lighthouse architecture but I suppose they have to keep the tourists a reasonable distance away from the structure. At least they put up an attractive fence, far, far better than the fence that now protects Stonehenge. We have been busy here in Manchester, too busy, in fact. I have put photography on hold indefinitely and that is a bit scary because the last time photography went on hold it was held for about 18 years. Yipes! Hi Candi, I love snow, beautiful photos, we only have snow maybe once or twice a year. Then it maybe only be one or two inches... LOL!!!! But People in South GA. freak out when it snows! It's really funny! I've lived here almost my whole life, but I've been to MI and other states where when they say snow it really means SNOW!!!! Hello Candi, Buffalo near Traverse City? Wow, I didn't have any idea they were in the area but they are interesting subjects to photograph. Snow at the end of March? Of course, one of Mother Nature's Spring Flings. A very pretty photograph and the snow probably did not last very long. The sunsets are great, my favorite is the next to last one. Hi Candi - the photos in this album are quite magical. The winter sunset on Indian River is magnificent and all your snow scenes leave me in raptures - they are more than beautiful. Hello Candi, Thank-you for your visit and kind words in my last organ rally album. Is there a message in the fact I finally get August pictures up in December? I've returned to this album at the winter pictures and the snow looks great. But what is that blue stuff in the top of some of the pictures? We haven't had much blue above this winter and now we have Springlike rain, wind and temperatures in the fifties. I hope your Winter is a little more Winterlike. Hi Candi, Thought I'd stop by to see other areas of good ole Michigan besides my own. I fear cabin fever is setting in early this winter. Speaking of cabins, that sure is a nice shot of one. I like #25,32,&33 of Burt Lake. We used to camp there at the state park once in awhile. I like the tones of your winter front yard...very pretty. My niece lives somewhere at Mullett Lake but not sure where. Have a blessed Christmas and a wonderful winter! Shirley :)

Hi Candi. I have some good internet friends in Michigan so it looks as though I'll be spending quite some time in your albums! I love this one and the photo of the snow from a couple of days ago is really great (that was the day we had 32C here - about 90F!) Thanks for having a look at my Aussie Landscapes album and writing in my GB - as I said, some of those photos are VERY old and always seem to lose something in the scanning. I didn't know Al was going to tell all his mates about this but it's the sort of thing he would do - we have been on each others' favourites list almost since the day he joined Webshots. Hello Candi, and a hello to Dave and Bug too. I think Webshots is getting their site together because I can download pictures again and I did from this album, specifically "Cabin in the Woods in Mio 9-12-05", a nice presentation of a marvelous setting. I also looked at the additions in "This and That" album but Webshots must also be very busy today because I got many server error messages but no enlarged pictures from thumbnails. I persisted and finally saw all the additions.Here are comments on "This and That". "Mankind vs. Nature" is an interesting picture with very good color and clarity. Did you just happen to find the bottle in the stump? If it was a set up photo you did well. Is there a significance to the two shadowed fingers (at least that's what they look like to me) at the lower right? "Looking Upward" is another interesting picture but I cannot look at it without getting dizzy; it is probably related to my recent vertigo attacks. Keep up the good work. I'm not familiar with Marion but it must be a really small town. Is it hidden by, or in, the small grove of trees? It looks great, I love it.
