Hi Gladys, You have so many great photos here! However, I am somewhat biased toward unusual landscapes and so I think your Pinnacles has to be my favorite. Greetings from Florida, Paul. P.S. thank you for your kind words on my Lowry Zoo album. That baby elephant was much cuter than I could portray. I was reading my earlier notes and mused over how some things have changed and others haven't. The northern Gulf Coast seems to be making progress at putting Katrina behind them, yet Webshots' statistics problems seem to remain with us forever. I just viewed my daily statistics for my new Lowry Zoo album and they read 0, 0. I know that it is wrong because I had a friend download a couple of the pictures for me in order to test. The old albums' numbers, however, continue to go up. Whether the numbers are actually right, who knows!

Hi Gladys, I had to visit this album again since the pictures in this one are just great. Thanks for visiting my Owls album. I really like this collection and I'm pleased to see that others like it too. You're invited to take a look at the albums that I released yesterday. I hope you'll like them. Take care, Yair.

Hi Gladys, First of all, I have to thank you for this wonderful album displaying your excellent and diverse work. I enjoyed it very much! Regarding your question in my guestbook: The reason I want to use high resolution wallpapers is simply because they look better! Of course, if you use a 800X600 resolution in your screen, you won't see the difference. I use a higher resolution and the difference is significant: A 800X600 resolution wallpaper of a higher resolution photo usually looks very disappointing. This is why I don't download photos that I like, but save them in full size, and only if they are in high resolution. Of course this is not very comfortable. I am sad that other people who download my photos get a low resolution wallpaper, as I would like them to enjoy the maximum quality of my shots. As for the risk of having your photos stolen, it is indeed a serious issue. This is why in one of my posts I suggested that Community members would be able to display their photos in low resolution while enabling downloading in high resolution, just like the pros in the Gallery do. Anyway, I don't see the logic in enabling - and encouraging - members to upload high resolution images while the community downloads are in low resolution. I hope I answered your question. Best wishes, Orly

Hello Gladys. Congratulations on reaching this milestone, although I'm sure this figure has doubled since you posted this album. I do like the selection of photos you have chosen very much. I really like this type of album which has such a varied and diverse collection of subjects. I'm here also to say thank you for signing my recent feature. I appreciate and value your support and a visit from you is always most welcome. The feature came as an unexpected surprise and I have everyone who took part to thank especially, because without your choices there would not have been an album. So, thank you once more. Hope you are well and enjoying your springtime as we here in England are well into our autumn season. Luv n'hugs, Jayne xx

Very strange Gladys because this has been a part of Webshots ever since I can remember. When you open Webshots you get a page with the headings Wallpaper and ScreenSaver, My Photos OnLine, Favourite members, My Computer. Click either on Login or On Favourite members. Immediately underneath these headings are the words, Keep track of your friends and family photos, followed by Manage My favourite members. This is clickable and will bring up all your favourites with their first four albums. Honest!! Peter

Gladys. Home Page>Log In>My Favourites. In very small type underneath the headers you will now see it says Manage my Favourite members. Click on that. Peter

They have indeed lost our favourite Members, but if you click Manage my Favourite Members they should all be there OK as well as Who Has Listed Me as a Favourite. To be honest I seldom come into Webshots except to see if anyone I know has scored a feature so I am never really aware of the problems they are having except by hearsay. But it's what happens when you get to big I guess and I dare say before too long we'll lose all our albums as well, which is why I make copies of mine before I post them to WS. The sun is shining now so it's back into the garden for me. Bye for now Peter

Hi again Gladys and many thanks for writing in my Kangaroos, ducks etc album. Getting those emus drinking was another cl####ic case of luck putting me into the right place at the right time as I had only strolled over the road while my tea was cooling down! Hope you survived yet another rough old night - wasn't too bad up here fortunately although we did seem to have rather more rain than usual. Best wishes, Peter

Hi Gladys, first of all congratulations with this milestone, 300,000 views. So nice to celebrate this occasion with this album with this variety of assembled pictures of your albums. I enjoyed the album very much, and I will certainly come back to visit several of them. Thanks for your nice words about my Spring album and for your congratulations with my feature. You are heading for Spring now, is it not? Up till today we have had marvellous summer weather, but that is about to change. But the second half of July and the first half of August was not so nice, we did have a lot of rain and low temperatures. I myself am not in the mood for Autumn yet. I like to have some more warm summer days for a few weeks. But we do not have a choice, don’t we. Best wishes, Els (wely246/evanwely)

Hi Gladys...WOW!! Congratulations Gladys as you soo deserve this! Fantastic my friend and what a beautiful gallery of outstanding shots. I remember many of these beauties and they look fabulous in the frames! You have excelled!! Upon reading below I had to laugh at Pauls comment re anybody being featured and no indication of downloads etc.. I think I have more than had my share of late I truly do. Well here I am to thank you and yes I did have access at my friends, and have never really recovered from the huge task a couple of months ago...of viewing and replying to everybody!! I honestly nearly fell off the chair when I saw my feature and I only found myself here because I needed to relax after a long day painting in the Gallery in Sydney. I am getting an early start on thanking this time otherwise I get too overwhelmed. Tks Heaps my friend for your lovely words and you totally enjoy the many accolades that shall pour in for your highly deserved..300,000 views as you soo richly deserve it with all your wonderful albums. Have a really great day Gladys and tks for sharing the wonderful view of your beautiful photos of Aussie. Take care and kindest regards....Hugs ..Em

Hello Gladys, congratulations on 300,000 views, you're worthy of every one of them. What a magnificent album this is, it really shows off your talent and brings together some of your best work in one place. Clancy makes a great cover shot, by the way. Many thanks for your comment on my recent feature, and my Sunset album. I was the only photographer on the bridge that afternoon, in the company of two men drowning worms and destined to buy a take away dinner from the local chippy. Now it's onward to half a million for you, so you best get snapping. Best wishes, Keith.

Hi Gladys and thanks for the invite to view this album. Unfortunately I have only been able to see the thumbnails so far because the first half dozen or so that I tried took up about half an hour in total to come up on full screen. Thats a nice number of views to have - I really should pay more attention to that side of things as I wouldn't have the foggiest idea how many times my photos have been looked at but I can't imagine it would be anywhere near the number that you have. Anyway, well done and keep up at this rate and you'll be up to your half million before you know it! Best wishes, Peter

Hi Gladys, A real nice album of plenty, like #24, 43 and 48, but then again, like all of these beauties, especially the pups. Congratulations on this very large number. That's quite a mass of folks looking at your albums. Here's for 300M more in another ten months or less! I hope my looking around has also helped you gain a bit more for your count. Greetings once more from Coastal Southern Oregon. Ron

Hi again Gladys, It dawned on me that I had not thanked you properly for your concern about how we fared with hurricane Katrina and I wish to thank you properly now. When it passed through Florida, this hurricane was totally different from the one that which hit the northern Gulf of Mexico communities yesterday. In Florida, Katrina was really half a hurricane with only its southern half having minimal hurricane winds and rain - that part passed well south of us giving us only relatively minor winds (60-70 kph) and almost no rain. Miami on the other hand suffered moderate amounts of tree damage and considerable loss of electric power. My mom's house there lost power the night of the storm, almost a week ago, and power has not yet been restored. Consequently we went there a couple of days ago, picked her up and brought her back to Cape Coral with us. What has happened in the northern Gulf seems to be of biblical proportions. They are talking about up to 15 feet of flood waters in some of New Orleans neighborhoods with 80% of this major city flooded, rescues from rooftops are being conducted via helicopters and with estimates of completion of pumping of the water out by the END OF SEPTEMBER. There are still dozens of towns which not yet been reported on. We here in Florida are very much aware of how lucky we are and how very easily that could have been us. Thank you again and greetings from a very lucky Florida, Paul.

Hi Gladys, Congratulations on achieving this great milestone and my very best wishes for another 300,000, at least! These are beautiful images which have not lost their luster with age. You picked very well with outstanding variety. Congratulations again, thanks for the invite and greetings from Florida, Paul. P.S. The download statistics situation is as bad as ever and it shows no sign whatsoever that Webshots is working on this problem. It doesn't seem to be associated with the larger number of members, pictures, or traffic. We would not be getting any download statistics even if instead of 250 million pictures, there were only 250 of them. By the way, really enjoy your 300,000. One never knows when Webshots will decide to take them from us. I really feel sorry for those who are being featured during this problem. They're being cheated out of much of the satisfaction which they have so richly earned.

Hi Gladys. A big congratulations on the 300,000 views. I love the look of this album but I've only looked at the thumbnails because WS is in that mood. How unusual. I can see that you have a lot of your photos that I have on my screensaver so you definitely have good taste.lol. I'll get back later today or tomorrow and have a good look. Well done my friend.
