Thea, Thank you so much for sharing this album...I spent many of my young adult years in SF and it's by far my favorite city in the US...I definitely left my heart in SF. Your photos are the best I've seen capturing so many of the places that are familiar to me...

I am enjoying these pictures so much. Lived in the East Bay for 36 years, San Leandro. That ole saying you don't miss the water till the well runs dry. Well that is true!!! Am really enjoying your pictures so much. If my daughter saw these she would be even more homesick. Live on the lake here but it isn't the same. Thanks for sharing these great photos.

You got the shot that I have been dreaming of getting - how did you manage to get to the top of the Golden Gate - This album is pure inspiration. Srapada, California

I'm sending you an invite to my frined Majed's webshots site - he is a very accomplished photographer who I have found very inspirational and helpful and he put out this album a couple of weeks ago on tips for taking great photos and how to present them. Hope you find this useful!

Hi Thea! I am very excited seeing your photos of this most beautiful city as am heading there for the first time in Nov-Dec this year! Beautiful photos and I especially love #3 - stunning perspective and gorgeous colours! Your sunsets are also beautiful and I am very sorry that the bathhouse was burnt down - I'm sure it was grand. Thankyou very much for your comments in my guestbook! I just use a simple Sony Cybershot DSCP92 semi-manual point-and-shoot (they don't make them anymore). It is my first camera (other than borrowing my parents film one) and I have had it for just over 2 years and taken nearly 6000 shots! It's starting to wear out somewhat now and getting a bit unreliable so I am looking at upgrading. I have been very pleased with the colour quality from this camera and as most photography is primarily about composition it doesn't really matter what camera you have - no amount of expensive flashy camera will help if the composition, subject and lighting are wrong! What type of photography are you in to? There are some great little books put out by Lonely Planet Guides on Landscape, People and Travel Photography with some great photo examples and even some digital processing tips. I have found them really useful as I am still somewhat a beginner myself :) Hope this helps and please ask if you have any more questions!! Best wishes, Kate

Great pix of San Francisco. You've managed to capture a lot of its great features that most tourists never hear about or see. I especially enjoyed the one of Sutro Baths. I don't remember it in its heyday like you but I've been told many stories about it by native San Franciscans I've met and apparently it was quite a place.
