  • Good evening Jayne, I knew you were going to Oxford so was looking out for this album, it looks as if I am early again so when it is finished I will have another look, take care and god bless Ken xx

  • Re: Ken's looking for this album, so was *I*! ;) ... So far, in #4, how do they train the VA Creeper on the building to such a defined shape??? The Rose window in #6 is gorgeous and I imagine changes depending on the light. The St. Catherine window (#7) is beautiful and I love the way you add descriptions; it helps us learn about the subject matter. The architecture here is so very different than the Oxford Town Centre you have in your Colours album - delightful contrast. I'll be back to see what else you post later on. ... Blessings, Judy

  • Good Morning Jayne. Words cannot tell you how I have enjoyed this little bit of history from your world. I am a Harry Potter fan, (even though I am a grandmother of 5) lol, and I learned a little about where the movies are shot. I loved the "Alice in Wonderland" door and had to download that image for my screensaver. I liked the whole album, but the images I downloaded are: The Door in the Wall, Harry Potter's Dining Hall, President's Lodging, both images of Radcliffe Camera (excellent) and Merton College. I know we have some history on our Eastern shores, but I have lived on the West Coast most of my life, so taking history tours are awesome for me. Thank you so much for sharing your world with us. Lynn, Bonanza/Oregon, USA

  • Hi Jayne, I was too busy with work and didn't check the community for a while, it seems that I missed very beautiful albums. This album is very beautiful, I really enjoyed the sights. I especially loved the pictures that seemed to be framed. Tirza From los Angeles

  • Dear Jayne, Oxfort in Autumn is an absolutely fantastic album! Stunning photos, I especially like the ones of Christ Church College. Such gorgeous buildings! It was also a thrill to see the Dining Hall where Harry Potter films were done; great films indeed. I also want to thank you so much for your kind words in my featured album g/b; your visit is deeply appreciated. It was a real joy for me especially since Oct 23rd was my older daughter's 18th birthday. Take care my friend, enjoy autumn, luv and hugs, your friend Salla (Finland)

  • Jayne you've managed to capture Oxford in all its splendour and done a terrific job. The photo of Christ's College is great and looks so professional. It's such a pity I'm only on the free version of Webshots and not the full one because your whole album is simply packed with beautiful photo's. See you again and take care, Jim.

  • Hi Jayne, this is a delightful album with lots of beautiful photos. And I do like the explanations that go with them. Although all the pictures in this album are magnificent, I especially like picture nr. 3, such a beautiful gate! I Furthermore liked nrs. 17, and 27 very much. I had a very pleasant time viewing these pictures, Jayne, thanks very much. Thanks also for your comment on the Leiden album. I am always very glad to hear from you. Have a nice week, your friend from Holland, Els (wely246/evanwely)

  • Back again as promised and I've had a great time going through this album. I used to know Oxford quite well and there was so much here that brought memories flooding back (several of your albums seem to have had that effect on me!!) Beautiful photos Jayne and you are to be complimented on your skills with your camera. I echo everything my friend Rod has said just a little down this page and send you a great big Aussie hug. Peter

  • Hi Jayne, Thankyou for G/B entry, I did receive it, and hope you get this one. All the things you said are so right. I have just sent some G/B entrys and hope they get them. They are going to have to sort something out Jayne, as I to, and many more are sick of this W/S's. Are well, you have a beautiful album here, wonderful photos. Great photography. Big Hugs. Ray and Eileen.

  • Hi Jayne, thanks for sharing with us these pictures of Oxford. Unfortunately, I did not have a chance yet to visit this famous place so I was very pleased to have this virtual tour with your album. Thanks for your kind words in the guest book of my Croatia album. You're invited to take a look at some of the albums that I released recently. Have a wonderful weekend, Yair.

  • Good morning Jayne, This is an extremely informative and gorgeous album. My favorite memories of being there was my second day with my cousin and he, my husband and I sat on the curb side eating Cornish pasties with the juices dripping down and just having one good laugh. He was such a joy to be with and sadly he did not last too many years after we first met. I was unaware that Oxford comprised of so many separate colleges. I have not had many pictures lately as my computer broke and had to get a new one plus we are getting ready to go away for a period of time to California to be with daughters #1 & 3 so we are busy getting the house to leave for the duration of our visit. I did get one in though and that was Halloween - 2005. I still have one picture to add to it but my machine won't let me add one at a time so as soon as my computer person arrives I will get that one updated. Take care and keep clicking as you do a superb job. Janet/Maine

  • Dear Jayne - what a treat this is! I can't understand how I missed it, but am so happy you reminded me to have a look - it's wonderful. Your shots are really super too - I especially like #10 - the stairs, #19 - the windows, #23 - that great door, #27 - a great shot through the gate, and #24 because I feel I've been there before - I expect Kevin Whately to walk out of the building at any moment (or even the late John Thaw as long as I'm fantasizing!) Your captions are excellent also and gave me a great insight into this very historic place. Thanks again and lots of big hugs going your way, Beth

  • Hello Jayne You want i speak french, so i do... Thanks most sincerely. Regards. Martial

  • Hi, Jayne. It's Barbara again! This is one place I definitely want to return to. It's a beautiful city--I was there in June of '82. I now have an Internet friend there who works at the Ashmolean. It is my dearest wish to visit England and to meet Jonathan in person--and maybe you, too!
