My dear Marita, I'm glad you liked my Garden of Quinta da Fidalga which in portuguese means Noble Woman's Farm ( I hadn't put the translation when you visited it), I'm glad you enjoyed the portuguese tiles (azulejos) and the flowers. I love the place, I only wish it had more water... Fountains are dry, lakes empty... I don't even think it has a permanent gardener. I hope the situation changes. I came to visit La Belle Provence again. Wonderful to see all those old stones, the sunflowers, the beautiful lavender, I wish I could smell it, Centre Ville Isle sur Sorgue in #8 is lovely! I love the strong colors and the big characters in the doors of the store, it's so Provence... The waterwheels's photo are fantastic. That lavender under the apricots is great and so are the colors in 22 and the beautiful square in 23. The vision of Le Saigon is really oppening my apetite... I love oriental food, no matter all the things I hear about... ohhh... those chairs look like my chairs! 27 is gorgeous! Carderousse is really beautiful. #39 is great, too, wonderful colors! And that beautiful tree in #40 WOWWWW... And what a remarkable fountain in Chateauneuf! How nice the butterfly on lavendar... Ahhhh, et La Cigale, a real Provence symbol... I wish it was me sitting on that cafe... Mont Ventoux & Sunflower field is really gorgeous and the old bridge in 61 is wonderful. And the stone house with the ive climbing... #67 is one of my favorites... lovely that fountain! 71 is also beautiful (always that fabulous fountain!). And I really love 75 with that beautiful arch and the scenery behind. The house corner in 76 is great, too. Oh, Mom and Dad were there too! So nice to see them! Your dad stature and hair reminds mine... I got stuck here. I don't even have digital photos with him... Oh, well... let's go. #87 is lovely, too. I love 91, everything is so old... what's that white thing coming down from the church? Olalá, 93 is fabulous! Wonderful angle of those pretty houses. And 95 is precious, WOW! 96 doesn't open, I don't know why... I believe you had a wonderful time in all these beautiful places, because I had it only seeing the photos.

Gorgeous pictures. Thanks for posting them. FYI, the name of the town is Vaison-la-Romaine, not Vaison DE la Romaine. As its name indicates, it's an old Roman colony and you probably saw the vestiges of those immense, luxurious elaborate Gallo-Roman villas...
