  • Wow Marita I was checking out your albums again and came accross this one and was surprised by the Cannon Beach pictures I Loved the sandcastle and Jack was surprised as well as he said the beach is usally rocky ( he comes from the Pacific Norwest). Your right about Coffs Harbour we stopped on the way through to Queensland and found the Botanic Gardens and spent the whole day there it was wondeful and they should promote it..Thanks for visting my albums and I look forward to visiting your again....Sandra from Sydney

  • Hello Marita! We too, as Sharon writes below, we visited this beautiful Coast without digital cameras! So we are happy to find this album with a great choice of varied subjects! Our favorites are all the Coast views, especially 16 with the seagulls. Thanks, Marita for your nice comments in our albums!

  • Hi Marita! Your Oregon album is stunning. Bob and I were there back in 2000 before we had digital cameras; I'd love to go back there. Thanks for your kind message in my Glacier National Park album. We've been up there twice and Bob and I both agree that it is about the most beautiful national park that we've seen. But we say that about most of them. Unfortunately, we didn't have the time to drive to the Canadian side of the national park. Hope you get a chance to go up to Montana and see Glacier. Again, all your albums are great. Have a happy week. Sharon from Missouri

  • G'day there wonderfully talented Marita - I'm having a ball checking out Oregon-Astoria, the seaside and other spots in this great collection. Paint me there! I want to be the mermaid in the sand sculpture, one of those fall leaves in their wonderful costumes, I just want to be there ... but seeing I'm not the next best thing is to see it through your very perceptive eyes. OK you got your own back for you booking an Aussie ticket - I'm lining up for someone to email me to your part of the world now lol You are such a sweetie with your wonderful message too - sincere thanks and your timing of that coming through was amazing! ((((humungous Aussie Outback hugs)))) and a heap of Aussie sunbeams to lighten your weekend ****** - love, Lorraine - Australia

  • Hi Marita! Great photos you have here! I love that fall tree, the murals and all the coastal photos, especially #27 and #33. They are all great. Wonderful job! I'm glad you liked my snow album. I was a bit disappointed because snow was already melting, but, on the other hand, I got a very good weather, no cold at all. Two very pleasant days. The only thing that went wrong was that I forgot my spare camera memories at home. So, no photos on Wednesday... but, no big deal. I have already photos of those places. I was putting them now in another album but uploads are not running for me... I missed one or two really great shots... Oh... about the roads, this time I didn't drive. I'm still a little traumatized due to an accident I had two years ago. I already drive with no problems in normal circunstances, but I'm afraid I'm not yet ready for 1993m high... But conditions were good, no ice or snow in the road, little traffic, the curves are soft... the road in Mallorca mountains it's much more impressive! I think the way down would be more problematic to me than the way up:) Thank you for your visit, keep in touch. A big hug, Rosa

  • Hi again Marita, thankyou for your responce messages, No worries, No problems I say. I am beyond the stage of worrying about anything now, we all only have a short time to take advantage of this earth, so "que sera sera" as the old proverb says "great minds think alike!". Now I love that ghost ship in this album. We did the WA to Monterey & back trip in 2 weeks in 03, 3250 miles so although we passed over that bridge, we did not have time to stop & smell the roses! Main idea was to photo the Redwoods & Sequoias, but I had dropped my digi cam on our friends deck on first day. The little screen at back looked OK, but at home on PC they were all useless. Will have to come back again! Eric

  • Hi Marita, This reminds me of a journey we took in 1995 from the redwood trees in California back up the 101 to Washington where my daughter lives. we saw all these sights including coming down towards Portland on a very clear day the ice cream cones of Mt Rainier, Mt St Hellens and Mount Hood, that was a wonderful sight, alas no digital camera's in those days, thanks for the GB and the friendship bit, made me smile, I shall just have to put the anti doodlebug nets up tonight now lol. I have another German Friend married to an American, they live on the Yucatan Penisular, they are both wonderful people, take care and if you get a min I posted a new Album today you might enjoy it, bigs hugs and good luck Ken PS sure would love to see some pictures of them Arabian horses

  • Hi Marita and great to hear from you again. Sorry for delay in getting back to you but we've been away for about 10 days exploring some more of our great state. One of these days you must tell me how much time you had for travelling around WA and I'll try and find you some pics of those areas. Just looking at this album of yours, the pic of the log truck made me chuckle as I took a very similar photo a couple of days ago when we were on our way home! Am now busily trying to organise some 1000 plus photos into some sort of order and most of them will be revealed in the fullness of time! LOL So I'll get back to you in a few days. Till then, hugs, Peter

  • Hi, love this album, has some great shots in it. Came through Astoria about a year ago, so this is a nice revisit through your album. Love the picture of the movie theater, have one almost like it. Greetings from Newport, Oregon - Trudy

  • Marita: I see you did get into a little fog in Astoria (fog is anything less than 1" of precip per hour). Enjoyed your description of the log trucks which now primarily are hauling logs from private Tree Farms (most State and Federal Forests produce very little if any wood). Having been in the employ of a private Forest Products Company for over 33 years before retirement, I am a bit defensive. I enjoyed this album. It was a short album - could this be because you got drowned out by a storm? Jim
