Hi Gladys, What a beautiful collection of colorful and unfamiliar flowers! For me, however, the queens have to be those Royal Hakeas. They are so different from anything I have ever seen before, so beautiful and so varied. Another image that I found very interesting was the view in your "Zoom South". What is that white field in the far distance? I'm pretty sure is not snow and it seems too far from the water's edge to be a beach. I'm puzzled. Greetings from Florida, Paul.

What lovely flora, Gladys, and what a view! I'm impressed with the length and the climb of your hike. That is exactly the type of trail I would enjoy. I hope you took plenty of water. Thank you for sharing your adventure! Keith in Utah

Hi Gladys, Thanks so much for the climb. I really enjoyed it. Heh heh. I mean that I felt as though I were really there, peering at the entrancing plants and struggling up the stony track to stand on top of West Mt Barren. What a beautiful place! Such great panoramic views. Of course the hakeas are entrancing but the pendulous banksias have a charm all their own too. Your pics are so clear. Do you have trouble with wind moving the flowers? I think it amusing that Lemann's banksia is lemon coloured. Had a look at the wanderer website. How very tempting. Do you use them much? Thanks for the comments about the Naracoorte album. I have yet to find out how to get building sides perpendicular in the picture editor. Such a learner I am! Yes, Naracoorte is in the area where they do not have a problem with drought, but I guess it browns off in summer. Thanks for posting. Joyce in Adelaide.

Hi Gladys, What a beautiful album! I love the panoraman shots so very much. The photos of the plants are terrific, was going to say fabulous, but our friend, Keith, already did. I clicked on your name on the blog, and wasn't surprised to see that it is you. I agree with your last entry on more than 10,000 photos on the our site. I have 3 and can't keep up with the swithching back and forth. I miss a lot of my favorites photos that way. I'd go back and request more in the blog, but between Martha (grrrrrrrrrr), and the administrators who also seem tiffed with most of us for getting off the topic, I don't dare go back!!!!!!!!! Take care, Sharon from SE Minnesota

Hello Gladys, what a fabulous and informative album of wild flowers. The Royal Hakea has me spell bound, it's fantastic in the true sense of the word. If I ever get over your way, I'll need a guide as knowledgable as you to show me around and identify all the plants. It looks like a bit of a climb you had, but a wonderful wilderness for the effort. I can't wait to see your Tassie photos. All the best from Keith.

Hi Gladys, nice to hear from you again and thanks for the kind words. I agree that it would be good to have an extended main album, however with this one I just started it to see how it did with none of my friends knowing about it, however one or two soon found it and guessed my new identity. now to this lovely album, it must be quiet a time of the year in the bush with all the wild flowers to be seen. I would find naming them the biggest problem. wonderful colourful beauties. I think that you and Peter have been crawling around on your hands and knees for us to record them for that I thank you. I also agree with what you have been saying in the blogs, I try and make comment to but it refuses to let me submit them. Just as well as I can be a bit sarcastic at times, take care and God bless Ken

Hi Gladys. You certainly covered some territory while you were away.Your panoramas are beauties. The join can be seen in one because of the change in light and there's not a lot you can do about that. The broad - leaved Brown Pea in numbers 30 and 36 is a pretty plant.I like the strong colors in the Royal Hakea. It's a tough looking plant. I also like all of the Banksia and the Chittick. It's an interesting and informitive album and I thank you for sharing it. Catch you later. Hugs Gladys Al..
