  • Hey Guys, The photos were magnificent and brought back so many memories. When we lived in Honduras for a few years, we had the opportunity to go to Roatan 3 times and stay at Westend. My wife and I have eaten many times at the "restaurant on poles". Thanks for posting. James

  • Hi Nesera There are mosquitos in the evenings if you are out in the free, we used some insect spray.I felt there was no problem with the sandflies on Roatan the problem was bigger on Utila. I beleive that the insect life depends on what time you visit Roatan. If want moore advice write an e-mail to me. coolmoosedk@yahoo.dk Best Regards Leif

  • Your pictures of West Bay, Roatan were very beautiful! Thanks for sharing them...I will be in Roatan in November 2003. How bad are the sandflies and/or mosquitoes? Do I need netting in the hotel bedroom at night? Did you have to use a lot of insect spray on yourself? I'm sensitive to mosquito bites. Thanks in advance for any advice..
