Album Description:
The Italian region of Liguria lies along a narrow coastline on the border with France. It offers plenty of picturesque views and year-round comfortable weather. I had the great pleasure of hiking there with Ruggero and Maria.

Hi Orly! What a fabulously colourful album you have posted! The Cinque Terre villages are as one would see in picture postcards adverstising coastal Italian towns. I am so happy to see that you have not restricted yourself to scenic pictures of the five towns, but gone beyond in capturing day to day activities, people etc. The towns are so very picturesque and you have done great justice to them. The are very pretty and beckons one to travel to them. Each of the picture is a perfect shot. I particularly like 15,21,26,30 and 47. However, what captured my heart was #8 'Bianco, Rosso, Azzurro'. What a touching picture! I kept looking at it and looking at it, and I saw the essencce of sibling love and care. One in a million shot, Orly! You have travelled well with Maria and Ruggero and brought home many fine pictures for us to enjoy. Thank you. Best wishes, Suresh

A short message my Friend ..... you know I'm REALLY BUSY :-(. A GREAT album from a fantastic place :-) that I LOVE. You was worried about the quality of shots, but as I wrote to you in past they are really GOOD!! I won't talk about particular shots, but I TOTALLY agree with Suresh.... THANKS to have taken many details, people expressions, moments of life... As you know I love your ability to capture those moments and, after I have see you at work with your camera, I'm sure you are one of the best in WS in those type of situations. Only problem is that this album is related to a past moment :-(( and it seem so far from now :-((....... However..... A BIG APPLAUSO and ABBRACCIO !!! Ruggero (The traitor :-D )

Dearest Orly - what a charming album! I agree completely with Suresh and Ruggero and probably everyone else - this is wonderful and you have such a talent for capturing the best in people, places, and of course animals. I will let this slideshow play on my desktop all day today to bring me back to those fabulous places I dearly love, the Cinqueterre, Sestri Levante, etc. THANK YOU for this gift. In friendship and affection, Beth

Hi Orly, This is such a magnificent album. Your photos are all so beautiful and I downloaded a bunch of them. I really love the 3 shots of the cat laying down. Your scenery pics are great and will make super wallpaper. I see our views on the blog are the same. Good. We need more participants, we Prima Donnas. LOL. Sharon from SE Minnesota

Orly, Nice trips you take, catching all along the way. You're lucky to have found friends along the way. The last picture, #62, is the man a carpenter by trade? The Med is a fine photographic palace of beauty everyone you look, even if the cat got the better of many of the pictures!! Greetings to you and yours from Coastal Oregon. Ron

Hi Orly, it seems you had a great time visitng Italy. I also visited Liguria this summer but only in Genoa. Didn't have a chance to visit all the beautiful places in your pictures. That's the difference between having a vacation in Italy and visiting there for business matters... Shabat Shalom, Yair.

Ah, these photos are again wonderful. Such a place of beauty as through you eyes I see. In my neck of the woods we have a choice to call the cactus fruit either "prickly pear" or "cactus apple." --Val from Los Angeles

Hi Orly! I enjoyed touring the Liguria Coastline with you and enjoyed the magnificent coastal views with the magnifient blue ocean. Love those coloured houses perched between the rocks (someone once called them crayon houses because they are coloured like crayons). Your Cactus Fruits #31 is a perfect example of what I meant about text in inverted comas not showing up when the cursor is hovered over the picture. We call that "Prickly Pear" in Australia and it is an introduced pest! Thanks for your reply.. The messages in the Blog only "Look Long" because they are shown in such Big Font and only fill half a line -- need formatting somehow! I can't help but wonder just how many Webshots Members know just what Oceania is -- even a Google Search did not tell me what I expected. Best wishes.. Gladys.

Hi Orly, thanks for visiting my Baha'i Gardens album. Now you can understand why I asked WS to move the Gardens section from Hobbies&Interests to Scenery&Nature. If they'll accept your suggestion to remove this section at all, I'll have to move that album to Middle East and I'm afraid that less people will have the chance to see the beauty of your city. Unfortunately, it seems that not many members visit often the Middle East section where I (and I believe that also you) prefer to put most of our albums. I can understand them since there are not to many albums there which are worth visiting. Let's hope thing will change when they rearrange the sections. Wishing you a wonderful week, Yair.

Hi Orly, WS is indeed very slow recently. I use the slideshow less frequently, only for albums that look really good since I hate to wait for ever for the pictures to show up. I don't think that the bottleneck is your connection (aren't you accessing WS from the Technion?). I 100% agree that they should reposition the Middle East section. As for yesterday's feature - it was indeed good but I believe they could pick a better one from your collection or Nino/Galit/Ran and possibly others. Let's hope they'll do that in the near future. Take care, Yair.

Hi Orly, thanks for the kind words on my featured album today. Indeed it could be fun if they chose the Snail's Blog but since I don't like them to feature albums for reasons that are not related to photography (which they sometime do), I'm glad they selected an album that I believe is good enough. Anyway, it's about time they will select one of your albums again. I hope they are not too angry about you... I guess they will not like what you wrote in the blog today but they deserve it. Thanks again, Yair.

Hi Orly, like you wrote, it seems to me that posting comments to the blog is almost a waste of time. At the begining I thought they changed their attitude so I added some comments there but now I try to minimize them. Otherwise, I'll be even more frustrated to see that they are ignored. I believe it's better for you too. It's enough that we have problems with WS, no reason to ruin our health because of the blog. Still, I have a feeling that when they'll rearrange the Middle East section, it will be your big day since you have many good ones in this section. Same if you happen to create a Hanukka album in the next 2 weeks. Have a lovely day, Yair.

Hi Orly! As usual by now, the whole world has seen this album and here I come :-) It once again is a GREAT album full of beautiful shots. What a magic coastline that is, love all the shots of houses on cliffs above the sea. Wonderful colours and compositions. I also noticed your hard work to have user pages set to "regular" in stead of newest paid off. Nice to see one can ad a profile picture too. I was moved a lot by #27, the cat with the subtle reddish tint. Reminded me a lot of my favourite model, Duck, who sadly passed away 6 weeks ago, after a very happy life (for me too) of over 21 years. No more pictures of her on Webshots :-((( All the best my friend, Mark

Yes I see what you mean :o) Very clever! I created the 2 new albums to reduce the size of my biggest one :o) Now it has slimmed down by 100 pics (still bigger than 100 though) and hope it will make it more "palatable". Regarding view counts, I noticed that they stay the same for the big album even when I move pics away... this means the system has no "memory" of the views per pic. Ciao, Roberto
