• Hello Ted, as an old sailor of ten and a half years, ships, sea, sky, boats and even oil rigs are very close to my heart. wonderful shots of a dangerous occupation. those people who work on them rigs, should be commended, not only for the dangers in the job its self but for the vagaries of weather. your pictures brings out I think all of these points, I think that it is a fiiting tribute to those people. take care Ken

What are they equipped with? Amazing job, although a bit scary! The pictures of the ships are so beautiful. Such wonderful color! Thanks for sharing with us all..take care..Darlene

    • Hi Ted; although a lot of women would find this album to be a thing that they could not relate to-I find it fascinating & intriuging- I think think that man's best qualities are through the finesse of survival & the ability to never give up but then it goes furter then that, doen't it -ya buggers!!? However I find you to be quite artistic & we ARE talking about photography. Do me a favour & come & look at my photos & sign my guestbook, please. I NEED moral support as I have a very crappy camera to work with. Thankyou with my heart,Rita Timmins auroraborealis@shaw.ca

    • Great pictures of a rare topic. Oil platforms obviously are a great place to take photographs with interesting views. I like your compositions of steel and water as well as the insights into the daily life on an oil rig. Thank you for sharing those impressions. You are working on oil rig, aren't you? Cheers, Strobelix

    • Thanks for the comments! The Canon PRO90IS has a Wonderful 10X Image Stabalized Optical Zoom! This feature has given me opportunistic shots that I otherwise wouldn't have had! If you visit my "GOM Marine Life" & "Pro90" Portfolios you can see what I mean!! Unfortunately, Canon has decided this model because of the high cost of production! I grabbed the last one on the shelf in the New Orleans area!! Take Care, Ted
