Wow, I'm so glad I took the time to check out what this was, I had no idea this was Salt, and those were piles of salt ready to be harvested, nor that your White Horizon was an island in the middle of salt flates, it looks so foreign and bizare...WOW. The island of cactus, named "Isola de Pescado", I would love to see more pics of that, I did a Google search and found a guy who describes it well - http://www.bootsnall.com/articles/05-04/miles-and-miles-and-piles-of-salt-uyuni-bolivia.html if anyone wants to know more. But he talked about so many shapes of cactus...Thank you for sharing such a strange place...funny, I'm 52 and I learn something entirely new all the time...life is so amazing!!!!!!!! Ho voluto guardare subito le foto della Bolivia perchè mi è rimasta nel cuore.... soprattutto il Salar di Uyuni .... bravo belle foto! Sai una cosa? Farei un album solo delle foto del Salar con i cactus ecc... appena lo carico ti invio l'invito Ciao a presto ! Pietro.
