I have been up the Rogue twice on the jet boats and they were tremendous experiences. Is #3 the Lobster Creek bridge? I think rhe Rogue and the Umpqua Rivers are the most beautiful in Oregon. Of course I am prejudiced by having grown up in the Roseburg area. Jim in Longview, WA

Hi again. I am in shock! I have been at the exact place of these pictures. I did not go on the boat ride I sure wish I had of. I would go swimming there because the ocean was too cold. This is great because you got the good pictures that I need. bsjbrenda

Hi Jane! I found a postcard the other day of the jetboat ride on the Rogue River. I should mail it to you. It was such a beautiful place in Oregon and we enjoyed that boat ride. Thanks for the congrats on the featured album today. In answer to your question, Webshots changes the original title to albums that are featured on their Home page, and then on the Community page, the title that we give the album shows up there. I haven't changed the title myself--it always was A Midwest Spring. :-)) Hope you have fun with Tegan this weekend. Lots of hugs and love, Sharon

Hi Jane...This album is so beautiful with all its lovely scenery. I love the blue river and how it bends and turns and the fast parts where you see the white of the water hitting the rocks. I like how you compared the first photo and then another taken at a different time of year..what a difference. They are all beautiful. hugs and love, Barbara

Hello Jane! We come back to an older album: We like rivers! They can be calm as lakes reflecting trees, or wild in gorges and as waterfalls! You show us all this faces of Rogue River in this beautiful album! Thanks!!! Thanks also for your nice guestbook comments! Sorry that you have injured your knee! How did this happen? Take care and get well soon! You asked for the children near the cornfield: this are Arthur (10) and Alice (9), two of our 7 grandchildren. They have been playing on 'who can find the biggest piece...'! Have a wonderful Mother's Day! With love and warm wishes, Henri and Käthi

Nice work. I am curious about the equipment that you are using. Do you use digital or film? What camera format? I'm eagerly getting serious about photography. Going to classes this fall. I really enjoy your work. Of course, it's so like visiting home. I like your floral work as well.

Jane, I don't remember the Rogue River looking this beautiful when we took the jet boat ride. Maybe we were going so fast to see the beauty!!! We tried to take a photo of some fisherman along the river and they were a blur!!! This album should be featured. Thanks for the guestbook entry on Glacier. Sharon and I looked like a couple of drunks on the Hidden Lake trail when we were trying to walk on that slippery snow. I held onto her arm so tight I think it hurt, but I was afraid she'd fall down the side of the mountain and hurt the cameras!!!! LOL :-))) Just kidding!!!! She really doesn't like for me to take her pic, but I sneak occasionally and get her because that's what she does to me. I'm glad you have your computer up and running; you're way faster than I am. We still don't have the new monitor and I'm still trying a lot of new things on mine. Did you get a DVD burner for yours? I've been trying to make a DVD of our pics and put music with them to play on the TV. Belated "Happy Birthday!" Tell Rod that we want Oregon scenery photos soon; to get that chauffeur's license out and drive you someplace gorgeous (your yard is lovely, but a nice drive would be great too!) Have a great evening! Bob

"I think I see Tom and Huck! The more I photograph this river the more I love it. It's gets more beautiful and precious with each shot." and there you have it - love - the reason for the good result. The passion to do what you just have to do. Thanks for sharing these wonderfully taken sceneries. Have a happy day.

Hi, Jane...Thanks for the sweet comments in my Orchid and Butterfly album. Bob has finally stopped his mumbling about the Climatron pictures. We went back there again Friday and took more pics just to make him happy. Funny you should ask, what is the Climatron??!! :-)) I just happen to have put an album on last night of photos from our many trips there. It is the glass-domed building at the Missouri Botanical Gardens, which houses a tropical rainforest. It's a lovely place to visit in the winter because we can forget the cold and snow outside while we're in there. There can be a problem with photographing inside the Climatron if the sun is shining because of all the contrasts in light. Bob is always messing with the different camera settings on his camera and I run around just shooting whatever turns me on at the time. We are supposed to get snow this afternoon. I have already told Bob I want to go out back and sled down our hill if we get a nice snow. He said he wanted to ski down the hill barefooted! LOL :-)) I hope the neighbors will be looking the other way or be at work when we do this. Does Rod still work? I get the impression that you guys are still youngsters compared to us. How far is the Rogue River from your home? This is a beautiful river; I'm sorry we missed it when we were in Oregon (or maybe we didn't!!) I am curious as to the photos of the river that look like you're standing in the middle of the river to take the photograph. Was there a bridge over the river or was Rod holding you out over the river to snap the shot? ^-^ Hope you get time to check out my new album. Have a great week. Sharon

Jane,These further additions to this album are superb the scenery and natural beauty is fantastic,Oregon is such a beautiful place.Your favourite shot of Rogue river (around the bend) has seen marked changes in colour as the seasons move from Autumn to Winter.Simple Joys is another superb pic.it looks so relaxing ,are there two men on the river?if so, it certainly gives me an idea just how enormous this river is.You certainly did your bit Jane without a magic Camera these are wonderful, full of beauty taken with great photography, and very crisp and clear shots. And can only say this album just gets better and better. I know what you mean though you have to be there to fully appreciate the all-round beauty.Do you watch the TV series 24hrs.Michael was watching the second version last night, the very first shot where the President was fishing was ? Lake,Oregon(he couldn't remember the name and wondered if you knew it)he said this was fantastic scenery, the colours and snow capped mountains looking over the lake was breathtaking and spectacular.I hope your week has settled down and next week you will have less pressure, which comes with the job,but arn't families great:-)))).Pleased to hear you had an enjoyable drive, we carn't expect to get our 00000s every time we venture out.:-))))Thanks for looking and making such kind and lovely comments in my guestbooks, and for being such a great friend:-))))and for being the extra special person you are,:-))) hope you had an enjoyable trip to see your grandaughter, they are so very special.:-)))))Gigantic Hugs Wrapped up with loads and loads of love.Elaine.

Your encouraging words much appreciated on my Tanner Flats featured album in December, and yes the humming bird feeder was the hit of the campground. Very easy to make as you can see. I love your Rogue River pictures. Brings back memories of several years ago when my in-laws lived in Grants Pass. Thanks for the wonderful trip down memory lane, and keep up the beautiful work you are doing. Thanks a bunch. Casey

Hi Jane,Many thanks indeed for your all the kind words in my Nature,North Yorks and Countryside albums. As always these wonderful comments are very much appreciated.I am so pleased you liked the hedgerow flowers as these are also a favourite of mine.Yes Jane all the pics.in both albums are digital which obviously creates a better picture. In this instance we ordered the Sand Circles but allways carry a bucket and spade just in case.:-)))).I really enjoy the Honda CR-V which we bought just over 12 months ago.Michael has a Vauxhall Cavalier SRi which we bought eleven years ago.( He will not part with it).Michael thanks you for the info. on Oregan ,pleased to hear that Rod is involved with preserving wildlfe and flowers it must be very interesting and rewarding work.Back to your album Jane,Oregan must be a very beautiful and scenic state if these photos are a sample of it.Rogue River is a gorgeous place which you have shown at its best, the scences, colours and clarity are superb with very well presented close up shots.I can imagine myself walking in the area and really enjoying it.Just going into the Jym now (Garage) to do a few arm exercises, must keep the muscles in trim :-))).Always nice to speak with you Jane and have little chuckles. BIG HUGS Elaine.

Hi Jane, You have some beautiful country around you, these pics are very impressive with good clear shots.I like water shots they often reflect lovely colours as shown in your pics. You must have low temperatures in November for the river to start freezing up.We did manage to go out walking last two days, rained yesterday but we had sunshine today.Enoyed the walks nice to get outdoors. Thanks once again Jane for all your lovely comments very much appreciated.Allways lovely to speak with you. This should also be a Featured Album as it's as good as many which have been featured lately...I visited Oregon in Aug of 2000' but didn't have time to travel the entire state...someday God willing I hope to return for an extended stay to photograph much more of God's Awesome beauty..Thanks for sharing & God Bless from Texas...Ken http://community.webshots.com/user/bigdaddy8x14
