    • This album remembers me a lot of things from past. Have been there twice. As I remember Kuibyshew was the most beautiful and clean city on Volga. Is it the same right now also? Good that your city has not the name of this communist criminal any more.

    • Hi Helen! Before the revolution there were about 50 churches in Samara. A great number of them were ruined during the 1930 th and some were closed and served as a "People culture clubs". So that churches survived and were restorated in 90-th. Alex.

    • Alex, been from Samara myself, I can only say - you touched my soul's hidden corners of love to this city on the bank of the Volga river. I am so jealous that it was not me, who took all these wonderful pictures. I felt I miss my home town more than anyone else. I love churches, old buildings, points of interest and tourist attractions, but most of all, you showed me again and again, how beautiful Samara can be in different seasons.
