  • Wow - this is a most interesting album!! I wonder why they made round barns. They had to have been much more difficult and expensive to build. Hmmm. Also, they must have had a reason. I'll move on to your other barn albums. - DeeAnne

  • These barns are amazing. We don't have this style in Australia .. not where I've been anyway. Very enjoyable album.

  • Hi Bill I deleted your comment in my guestbook to protect your email anonymity. Thank you VERY much for you kind words and continued support. Your background is Architecture, mine Mechanical Engineering, but in reality, we both are simply frustrated Artists at heart. What we share in common is the love of structure, order, symmetry, beauty and nature's basic simplicity in achieving elemental functionality. And Man's futile attempts to try and replicate it. Tomorrow when I get home I'll send along the two unretouched shots of a barn I took in New Mexico this past Autumn for your eyes only, please. I'm proud of them. Thought you'd enjoy it. Print them, delete them, do whatever you'd like. but keep them for your own personal use please. Second one, I think is a "Calendar Month" for sure. I happened to get very lucky that day. Enjoy your "hobby" , my friend. I know you will, as much as I enjoy mine. Robert Bencivenga aka bobthecamera

  • your photos are very beautiful, Bill. Love the one in which you've put your favourite, European barns, experimental photography, and this one, in which I love in particular the light in the cover one. Thank you. Ale

  • hi bill... thanks for visiting my albums and commenting on the covered bridge and barn photographs. the album you were referring to consisted mainly of austin, tx, photos except for the covered bridge and barn photos. those were included in the austin photos because they were on some of the training routes we had mapped out to train the cycling team for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation ride which was coming up in austin. the barn is located in my neck of the woods (greenville, sc, area). thanks again. and may i say that your photos are stunning! good luck in your photo endeavors. • Hi, Your barn photos are great. I think barns are really cool photo subjects and plan to put together an album of them when time allows. I also really like covered bridges and have a couple albums featuring them. It is neet that you get to photgraph so many round barns. I have only seen a couple and was driving and there was no place available to pull over to photograph them. I will be visiting again to look at more of your wonderful barn photos. Thanks for sharing. Marty

  • I have really enjoyed looking at your albums. I have only touched on them so far but do plan to come back and check out more of your pics. As you said about my barn pics I have never seen any quite like yours but I would love to see them in person. I have now moved from North Carolina back to Georgia and do miss the sights there. Most of the barns on my pages are tobacco barns for drying. I do look forward to coming back to your site and seeing all your pics. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing.

  • HI Bill, This album is just wonderful. You have taken superb photos of these barns and you know so much about them. Great album and it deserves to be featured. You have found so many wonderful round barns. The round house is a gem with it's two round barns. Thank you so much for you inspiring and encouraging comments in my barn albums. I appreciate what you said so much. You are right about the barns being different in each part of the country. It is fun. Big daddy or Ken got me interested in them. I never even noticed them. At first I looked for newer old barns and not finding that many around here started looking for the old weathered ones. They are all over and it was so fun to find them. Thanks again and God Bless, Jane

  • Hi Bill..I can see that I've missed some of these new additions since I last viewed this album..Some of these old classic's will be gone shortly & it's great that you've been able to record them on film so that years from now people will be able to see a bit of history..There are some old barns down here in Texas that I took photos of years ago that have "departed&qu ot; or have been covered with overgrowth from the foliage & left to ruin..At least I've got a record of them to share with others..Have a Great Day & God Bless from Texas...Ken

  • Bill...Your barn albums are so fascinating. We really never see round barns in Missouri where we live now or in Illinois where my husband and I grew up (different towns). Bob grew up on a farm. I grew up in a medium sized town in Southern Illinois, but I love to see the old barns and the covered bridges. I found out last summer that you really have to go hunting to find those covered bridges. Thanks for all your gracious comments on our photography. We really just started our amateur photography about 10 years ago when Bob retired. It is such a fun hobby. Thanks again for sharing your wonderful albums. Sharon
