  • Wonderful work.

  • This is a beautifully done album. I am taken with your photography of buildings without fisheye or barrel effects. I have tried for years to shoot some old victorian homes in my town and they always come out skewed. Often they won't allow inside photos anymore. - Best regards from Michigan, DeeAnne :)

  • Sorry that one flew away before I ment to! ......his parents take him home. He falls asleep on his way home and I . . . . almost at the same time! :-) Exhausting but lots of fun! - Your albums are a real pleasure. You never did an Mississippi album, didn't you? I would like that or an album about sugar cane.:-) And what would you like me to make an album about? :-) Ted take care! Galit

  • Hello Ted, I see you put the pictures of the last 3 albums in a shaker, shook them and now I have to find the new ones! I remember this one from times without picture messages and from the second album in the row! Just now I can comment my favorites from then! :-) Thanks for your lovely message. I got it as I just were trying to sort out what you did with your albums. It felt like telepathy! :-) I think your CRS is quite well. You forget something but find it later! I forget and it is gone forever! :-) I just don't know how you manage to write in ALL albums! You have so many favorites! I get totally lost with my mail and have usually a 2 weeks delay in answering! And now I get even more lost by trying out the new toy! Thanks for your great comment about that. About the camera: I just found the English manual at CANON Australia!!! Oh happy day! A college helped a lot just during the last weekend - we had a hell of an emergency weekend! I stopped counting how many times I went to work! But I took a lot of pictures on each way back home. It will take me some more time till the next album. Maybe soon some new pictures of Yoav. He is with me now one day in the week after work! We visit all the playgrounds around (4) and after that he is enjoying himself in the bath, then he gets to eat a little, some more playing and his parents take hi

  • Hi Ted! This is a wonderful journey back through time to view these stately mansions of the deep south. It is lovely that this history has been retained and preserved with all its charm and grandeur. Thanks for sharing this interesting album.. Oh, I love that stunning lily #5, a real winner! Best wishes.. Gladys, Western Australia.

My daughter lived in Baton Rouge for 6 years, and every time we went down we planned on a ture such as this, but it never happened. Thanks for visiting my botanical garden album. - Steve/Alabama

  • Hello Ted, thanks for this fabulous album. Some years ago, I had the opportunity to visit the Magnolia Plantation House in Charleston. I was struck by the elegance and grandeur. Your album portrays so well a bygone era of splendour, history, graciousness and hospitality, of course, not forgetting the trials and the tribulations of the civil war years. This gives such an authentic overview of the elegance of that age. Thanks for taking the effort to share with us your experience. A truly splendid album. Best wishes, Suresh

  • Dear Ted Thanks for your very encouraging comments on my featured album of Turkey shots today. I appreciate the time you took to write and I assure you that your comments are very helpful. I am glad you enjoyed viewing my photos but I had so much fun visiting Turkey and taking the photos that I hope you can make the trip yourself some day - it would be well worth it. Please visit my other albums as well, as there are many other fabulous places recorded in them from our travel throughout Europe and Australia over the last four years. Sincerely, Brian

  • Hello Ted. Thanks for the lovely tour of these charming homes each with their own style and character. You photographed them beautifully. I partically like photo #24 'Rosedown Balcony View'. Great composition and the touch of red colour is fabulous. Sorry to say that I haven't done much experimenting with the new camera. By that I mean that I'm still using it on automatic, so I'm not getting very good results. If you have time to take a peek at my album 'A walk in winter' you'll see what I mean. I'm coming to the States in the summer and I would like better pics than what I'm getting now. Thanks for the kind words about our garden. Glad you liked it. Take care, Jayne/West Midlands, UK :) xx

  • Hello Ted, thankyou for your visit & kind words to my featured history album yesterday. Now my turn to enjoy some of your history. Wonderfull photos of a way of life long gone. That oak alley is superb, are those evergreen oaks? the ones we call holme oaks in UK? As it happens I have just started a similar album as "Portrait of an English country estate" this will be added to through out the year. They certainly did themselves well in the 18th century! if you were not at the working end of life! Eric

  • Hi Ted, thanks for the compliments in the blog. Thanks also for inviting me to visit your albums (although I won't increase your downloads counter...). I enjoyed very much watching this album. I used to see such plantations in movies, didn't know they exsist these days too. I guess that visiting there is like going back in time. Should be very interesting. Thanks for sharing your albums with all of us. You too are invited to visit my albums any time. Take care, Yair.

  • Hi Ted, WOW, this is like going back in time. Some Centuries ago I've read a trilogy about the beginnings of Louisiana. I think Gwen Bristow wrote it - and I read it again and again. Your pictures fit exactly in those books and let it all come back to life and glory in my memory. There was everything around endless oak alleys, houses with lots of rooms, a up-swinging staircase, a very lot of history and people who suffered from wars, hunger and illnesses we already have forgotten . In your album I like your side views very much: the mirrored visions of captured spirits [I like that:-)], the peacock, the Christmas Berries and the reflection of Serenity! Very nice! You sure made my day! Nice to see you back with some new pictures! Thanks for you messages about my last additions. You are always so supportive. I wish I were a photographer like you describe in your compliments. :-) The under-water-picture of the young family surprised me, because I thought those little ones MUST be afraid under water. In the picture the parents hold Yoav very tight because otherwise he would have swum away. So you are going to have a wedding in your family!!!! Congratulations! The time before is so wonderful! I like all those preparations, it's a busy time, but so wonderful and exciting - and you will spend a lot, a really lot of money! I wish you all the best and a lot of joy and happiness for this time and for the future. May the wheel of fortune stay intact and never be destroyed like that one in your album. That one must have met Katrina! Have a beautiful day! - Galit

  • Ted: I'm so happy to be the first person to comment on this album. This is one of your most magnificent albums to date. What a great job of capturing the grandeur of these gorgeous southern mansions. I already have one on my desktop. I've always wanted to visit places like that, but for now I'm content with the beautiful way you have represented them. Wide angle lens territory, or stand waaaaay back. Great job, Ted. This one should hit the featured album list. Alan (Connecticut)
