  • Did you put your book together on Webshots or use another site? It's wonderful. I'm inspired to get to work compiling my own.

  • Hi Lynne - Did you publish this book? It is wonderful!! Do you live in Connecticut? We live in East Hartford. After seeing your photos we are inspired to get some winter shots this year. Thanks for sharing.

  • This is a wonderful, imaginative concept. If it is not really a book... it ought to be. I'd be proud to have it sitting on my coffee table right next to John Pitre's. Clark from O'ahu.

  • Lynne: You must have been a graphic designer in a former life! Not only are the photos outstanding but the presentation is a true work of art. You also made me very homesick as I browsed through the slides. Great job and thanks for commenting on my Bridge in Fog photo. I really appreciate it!!! Ken - Maryland

  • Thank you so much for visiting my Featured Amish tribute. I used photographs I had taken with permission, having spent many weekends over the past year in the Paradise area, making friends while taking photographs. Knowing them has made me a better person; my hope is to pass this on through my photojournalism. The evening of the event I felt the need to put this album together with the help of a good friend from WS,[Randyincv]. I have to say thank you to Randy for the editing. Also, Thank you to WS for featuring it. The fear that these lovely people would been seen only in their grief, while being hounded by the press seemed so unfair to them. Three hundred years of Amish History demonstrates a powerful sense of nonresistance, goodwill and pacifism, with none of the modern trappings we all rely on. For these humble Americans, to walk with the Lord is enough! They have shown us through simple love and understanding, their forgiveness is their strength. Forgive those who trespass against us!

  • Hi Lynn: I can't believe I haven't run across you here on WS! A fellow Mainer with such great talent! I am going to take a break from answering the 100s of emails from my featured "Downeast Maine" album today and just enjoy looking at your work here. Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting on both Maine albums. I love going back home, even if it is only for a week at a time. Keep in touch... Ken - Maryland (originally from Guilford, Maine!!!)

  • HI lynn; This is an outstanding album of your beautiful New England. I loved going through this album and I marvel at your beautfiul displays of that beautful area that you live in. We must thank Judy (Ladybug591) for featuring some of your pictures. I was so intrigued by those pictures of yours that she posted, that I had to come and see your photos. I agree with Kathy. This SHOULD be a featured album. You have made magic from all of the seasons. Thank you for sharing! Warm regards, Marjie/Olympia,WA

  • Hello Lynne *****Absolutely stunning album, photos, idea, and your beautiful New England. I am glad that I "found" you. How strange that this has not been featured yet.. well there is so much irrelevant stuff out there that MUST be honored, instead of these beauties. Warm regards from California/kathy (also under"katifelkai" )

  • Hi Lynne; That house is in North Bennington Vt. There is a hiking trail there called "The Mile Around," that farm has several Morgan draft horeses which enjoy the company of my border collie. That other picture you like was taken the same night that I took the one of my granddaughter in the kayak which won a local newspaper contest. The lighting that evening was perfect-a warm golden glow. One of my Swans Island photos got honorable mention for costal scenes on the Maine state page. Will be in Port Clyde for the ist week in July. I was looking forward to hiking with my 8-year-old granddaughter but I'm still on crutches so I'll make her give all the details, she loves nature and collecting specimens. Will be back in Maine in Sept. and I'm hoping to be able to do so kayaking by then. I can move my big toe and the feeling is starting to come back to my foot. They say it takes 3 moths to a year so it looks like I'll be at least 6 months. The pain is almost gone so only have deal with boredom. My border collie will bark at me for 10 minutes straight at 2 oclock every afternoon. I hope you enjoyed your trip to Maine, I can't wait to see the lupines.

  • Hi Lynne - Where can I purchase two copies of your book?

    said of teetee351 teetee351 2006.05.24 at 08:41:52 PDT

  • Hi Lynne Yes we took tour boat out of Bar Harbor for 1.5 hr.cruise. Besides the lighthouse got many good shots of Sand Beach, Beehive and the many islands in the harbor. The lighthouse was built in 1875 and is thought by many to be the ugliest in Maine. (quoting the cruise narrator) I thought that was the way you got the milky look, I shot some running water that way but without a tripod and using a walker it came out all blurry. Lately I have been taking pictures of the neighbors gardens and the grandchildren to keep me busy. The stuff in this album is commercial quality, beautiful photo with first rate compos. I love the Colorado pics. Have you ever been to Yellowstone? Oh the boat tour in Bar Harbor on a clear day is a must. Thanks Tom

  • Hey Lynne how do you get that milky look on your water fall pictures?

said of odtom odtom 2006.05.06 at 01:42:18 PDT

  • The group that was at Swans Island that day was as I was told tourist paying 85 dollar per day to be one of the crew so I dont think Maine Maratime would be involed with commercial endavors. I did not get to talk to any of the crew from the time I started taking pictures and the time they had sails hoisted was about an hour. I was told the night before that they were at anchor with a brilliant sunset. I was also told they usually anchor in Burnt Coat Harbor(where I was staying) if they are going to stay longer than one night of if the weather is less than perfect. I was told with a good wind they can beat a car to Rockland. I don't know about that but they were moving faster than the ferry.

  • Bravo you've done it again. Your gonna have all those folks in Ohio, Kansas etc. eating their hearts out for New England. I'll be staying in Port Clyde July 4th week and if I'm walking will get an album on Monhegan. You know there must be some poor soul living in Indiana that grew up in New Hampshire that is going to see your book. Great photos and creative arrangement. odtom, New York

  • I grew up in New England (Mass.) and now live on the west coast (Calif.). Miss so many things, I couldn't begin to name them all. Thank you for sharing your albums, so that I can poke around in them when I get homesick. Love this album (it's like mini-postcards. I hope they feature this album for all those travelers who forget their camera, who blurred a few, or might not get out there to see all the wonders.
