sam, painted walls aren't just painted, they're frescoed...now the art of "frescoe"ing involves a daily layer of plaster to be set onto the wall and watercolor type paints to be painted directly into the wet matter so that the colors set into the wall itself rather than as a top layer, thats why wallpaintings last so long so nicely...but you must paint fast...or the plaster'll dry!!!! Let that be a lesson to you.
