Album Description:
Cromer Norfolk, England was a major Victorian resort that had its heyday in late 1800's. It has still managed to keep many Victorian buildings, still a resort with an exceptional sunshine record for UK.

Hi Eric, Thanks for the GB, yes last week we had a day staring in Cromer stopping in all the normal places back to Wells, the weather was perfect, as you could see one or two new pics from along the way, good job I know a few car parks, the price they charge for half an hour is a bit steep. Is it warm enough for you, I think we may just go to Old Hunstanton tomorrow for a paddle, take care Ken

Hi Eric! It is wonderful to see these marvellous old buildings which have stood the test of time, and good to see them kept in good condition. The modern colours certainly brighten them up, but is not exactly in keeping with the original colours. Over here, the Heritage Listed Buildings can only be painted in Heritage Colours. Yes, Chimneys are becoming obsolete and that was something I noticed in Launceston was the number of Chimneys still standing because it is such an old town. Hope all your phone connection problems have been sorted out now. Thankyou for your messages and interest in my albums. I have just uploaded Tasmania #3 if you care to look. Best wishes.. Gladys, Western Australia.

Eric - It was just like being there - your album just took me there and held me til the end. I had a great time - salt air, wind blowing, clouds passing overhead, and the sound of the waves on the shore. It seems to me a cup of tea would be good. I rarely get lost in a collection, but your images transported me to a moment that I soon will not forget. Thank you, Stan

Good morning Eric. They don't build 'em like this any more, do they? Thanks for the fascinating tour of this Victorian seaside resort in winter. As always I thoroughly enjoyed the history lesson. I suppose the advantage of visiting the coast out of season, is that there's no one around and I love that. Take care. Cheers, Jayne xx

Hi Eric! What a pleasure to see another of your albums.I consider perusing them equal to a Grand Tour! I have seen so much of Britain through your eyes! How much you love your corner of the world! These beautiful buildings are "right up my alley"! The Victorians had a surprising whimsy ,I find. Who would think they loved the bright colours & ornate architecture they left behind. How lucky we are that so much of it still remains! Thank you for sharing these wonderful views.---Nancy

Hi Eric, Can not leave you five mins, no golf that means nothing left for me, lol. another portrait of our beloved Norfolk, What is it Shingham next or am I giving you ideas. This album is a magnificent portrayal of the old style Victorian Seaside resort, and the clarity and content is exceptionaly good. Look out for my Spring Flower album, later this evening, and every flower is this years. cant wait any longer, take care my friend Ken

Hi Eric! What a treat this album is. It's amazing to me how different Victorians can look from one place to the next - ours are completely different for the simple reason that we wouldn't dare to use brick here in earthquake country. The details are fabulous. I really love the stone cottages too - they're my favorites. Thanks for your nice words in my Barbary Coast album - sounds like you need to make another visit here soon! If you do, please let me know you're coming - I'll be happy to give you the "insider's tour" ;-) Warmest regards, Beth

Dear Eric, this is a real present on Valentine's Day for those who like archtecture the way I do. You managed AGAIN to compile a very interesting and attractive album, it was a joy to watch and read your explanations. What a richness of details these Victorian houses have, so many windows with such variety of shapes, and the balconies so ornamented. I also love the chimneys! And the Methodist Church looks like a piece of jewelry. Thanks for taking the trouble to shoot this beauties and share them with us! Friedliest regards from Gabriela
