  • Hello Leslie, Thank you so very much for sharing the treasures from Japan, The last time that I was in Japan was back in the Military days, 1965-1966, At that time I did not have a camera, so all I can recall was period to that time frame, a couple of trips into Tokyo proper and once, by mistake to the base of Mount Fujji, lots of good memories though, nothing near what you've shown us. It's pleasing to see that your getting such good results scanning your slides. Much appreciated. Paul

  • Hello Leslie, this album is fabulous! I just don't know how I missed it till now. I love the many people, especially children pictures and all those views aside on and in and around all those shrines and temples. All those temple details are so wonderful captured. It is fascinating! The slide show is a fantastic adventure! Leslie, thanks for your nice messages 3 weeks ago on my featured picture of 'some seeds of a thistle'. Oh yes, I was thrilled to see how well it turned out. I thought I'd missed it all! Yes, all is well here! And how are you? A long time ago you asked me for pictures of doors and windows and I didn't have any. Last week I was on a trip in our North and as I saw a beautiful door and a window I thought about you. Are you still interested? Have a wonderful day! - Galit

  • Hi everyone, I took advantage of the WS changes today to shift this album around a bit. I actually went to Korea halfway through my trip to Japan and then returned - to Kyoto. Good economics on my part. So now, Kyoto has its own album. Cheers, Leslie

  • Hello Leslie, Just a word to precise my answer: I mistaked in the last message as I had in the past two separate albums now merged in one; Picture 27 of the actual album is not Cervione in Castagniccia but a charming perched village in the Nebbio Region named Oletta; This village offers wonderful views on St Florent gulf on North_West and Nebbio mountains on other side; This time I am sure of my answer, With my best regards, Jacques

  • Hello Leslie, I saw to-day only the thumbnails of this large and exhaustive album as the pictures often not appear in the slideshow or one by one (traffic problem I suppose as it is the same for my albums); Your Kamakura preferred Buddha image is also mine and I downloaded it but is it not too wide in proportions? I shall come back on this album; Thank You for the message on my Corsica album that I discovered with all captions not done; I remember now that I was in a hurry to show this dreamed island to my Webshots Friends; I quickly posted it and forgot with the too many photos I have to post on other trips to come back on it and add captions & titles; First Your question made me perplex about this lack of information and I confess that it is now difficult to precise the places; To please You I made researches to-day and can say that picture 27 is probably one of Cervione, one of the charming suspended villages of the Castagniccia Corniche; I will try to enrich as soon as possible this album and verify the others; I think it will be a considerable but amusing investigation, Thank You for the visit, the message and the question! With my best regards, Jacques

  • Hello Leslie, stopped by as I saw on another gb you mentioned your Mother in relation to Shropshire. We used to live there in the 60's/70's, great place to live. Then here I found this album & the Korea album. Loved them both, looks as if you were at right time of year for foliage. We are passing by that way this year so thankyou for the photos. Eric
