  • Enjoyed a look into the Aussie wine country. I live in the wine country here in Oregon with a winery very close. Thanks for the great shots and information. Best regards, Bruce

  • The fumes (ahm - the bouquet, for us connosseurs..sorry)are making me dizzy!!Stop it, Lorraine..you're lucky I'm not underage, or you'd be in trouble with the law...LOL.I always love my little (ad)-venture into your albums. I've been so lucky to have visted Swan River Wine Country round Perth, Yarra Valley by Melbourne and Hunter Valley north of Sydney. Sadly never had the oportunity to go west of Melbourne towards Adelaide, I guess this would be around there? This has been such a zinger of a slideshow, thanks gypsy sheila, from the wild North. I was born in the winecountry of Germany between the Rhine and Moselle and Nahe Rivers and much of my youth I spent with relatives who used to own vineyards on the Moselle, helping with the harvest, hence my affliction for all things wine. Have a hard time drinking it, doesn't agree with my tummy, it seems to like beer better....(just between the two of us..).If you want to visit the German winecountry sometime go to my worldtripper website, moselle river albums. So hey girl from OZ was a pleasure visitin' as always, and I wish you bright skies, pleasant breezes and happy travels!!!!Marita (cowgirl hugs, of course)

  • Hi Lorraine! The Barossa Valley is a truly beautiful area of SA and you have done it proud in these photos. The Chateau Dorrien is magnificent, the old stone buildings have a beauty of their own, and the view across the fields of grapes is so scenic. Not being a wine drinker, I always wish they would grow more table grapes. A delightful album to view, but perhaps you could shorten the Album Description to fit what can be displayed and put the remaining details in the captions, rather than having a Cut-off sentence. Just a suggestion, that is what I do anyway. Many thanks for joining me on my Tasmanian Hike. I didn't know about Platypus at Hamilton and we didn't stop there on our way to Hobart, but I got a brochure on Platypus House and we were too far away to see that too. Must be fate! However, album #4 will have a stuffed Platypus! Best wishes and thanks for sharing.. Gladys, Western Australia.

  • Hi Lorraine, I'm pleased to hear that you liked my new album of Rocks. I was afraid that this topic won't be of much interest for the community members. I enjoyed visiting your album of Barossa Valley, although I have to admit that I personally do not like drinking wine... I prefer water. Still, thanks for the virtual tour and for sharing your beautiful album with us. Best wishes, Yair.
