Wonderful album and formidable reportage on this lovely Country!!! It has been for me also the most amazing trip of my life in 2001 and Your outstanding pictures permit me a new and complete visit; My greatest dream about travel is to go there a new time so the people are kind, quiet, full of hospitality! Just a question: did You travel alone or inside a group and how long were You there? This last question because You show so many places! All the pictures are great and outside the very famous landmarks, I loved 13, 35, 39, 41, 51, 55, 59, 60, 66, 69, 79, 81, 90, 94, 96, 97, 99, 109, 112, 117, 121, 123, 129, 131, 139, 140,142 the most impressive for many reasons being the very old Lady 103 years old: a marvel for the subject, the composition, the colour tonality; I have seen in Your other albums that we had many identical destinations, wonderful! I shall take time to visit them quietly; I immediately add You as favourite member and thanks Webshots to have permitted me to discover Your magnificent pictures, all my congratulations and thanks, Jacques Paris FRANCE

Beautiful collection of photos of Myanmar! I found the country an unspoilt, friendly and hospitable place. I spent a most enjoyable time exploring the country. Your photographs stir nostalgic memories. You have an excellent collection of pictures here, not just those of stupas and pagodas but of people who are the soul of any country. I particularly enjoyed Bagan and the visit to the Inle lake area. Thank you for sharing such exquisite pictures of Myanmar. Best wishes, Suresh from India

Hi Jacques, I found this fascinating - my dad was a Briton, born in Rangoon, and both of his parents had been born in Burma. My grandfather led the last of the Europeans/expats out of Burma hiking across to India, with the Japanese right on their tails in WW2. They went back there after the War, but independence was declared shortly after and virtually everything they owned was nationalised. My family loved the country and people as tho' it/they had been their very own. My grandmother cooked the most delicious Burmese cuisine - sadly we gobbled the food but she never wrote out the recipes - now lost forever, sigh. I am just stoked visiting your Burma thru your eyes...makes me determined to visit. Bye-ee, Michele, Dora Creek, NSW. Australia.

Congratulations on being chosen for today's feature. I only viewed the first 100 photos as time would not permit any more in such a long album which I feel could easily have been made into 2 albums. Beautiful photos and I really like the golden glow you have captured in your images. Best wishes.. Gladys, Western Australia.

Hi Jacques, Loved all your photos! Like Michele from Dora Creek my grandfather was also one of the 'trail-blazers' of that trek out of Burma & was a leader of a certain section of that big group that took the perilous 'journey'! He got safely to India after losing great many 'casualties' along the trek. It is a very small world & I am sure Michele & self possibly could one day compare notes about the lives of our 'grandfathers'! I am so very glad to be able to see that the Country is at last allowing tourist in to capture the very rare beauty of that enchanting Country after decades of a 'closed shop' junta policy. Take care & thx for sharing your experience with us here in Perth, Western Australia.:-)

Bien cordialement.Sylvie.
