This town............Is home for me.Everyone has one and has stories but I can sit here and honestly say if there was truely one place I could live and raise my children would be this town.Everything about this town is perfect in my eyes. But I do have a question for anyone to answer. There was this store right across the street from the part next to the tracks. The building even back then as early as I can remember back in 75 was shut down. The outer walls look like tin.I never knew the name of that building.I think it was some type of store at some point. My email is steven.ramos@mchsi.com

Sent Pictures to you of James Jackson Sr., Matilda Johnson-Jackson and Eunice Jones-Minor all from Berwick,LA What do I have to do to get them posted on the Berwick History Web-site? The picture of the water front fish house is where my father William James Minor lost his left arm working as a boy.

Great Job! - I enjoyed viewing the pictures of Berwick Past History. April 15, 1891 – State of Louisiana, St. Mary Parish - My great grandparents were married (family has original marriage license.) 1948-I was born in my Great Grandparents James Jackson and Matilda Johnson-Jackson bed and raised in Berwick - The doctor who delivered me was Dr. James C. Berwick a descendant of the town’s namesake and my great grandparents paid Dr. Berwick five dollars for my safe delivery. My family have losts of history in Berwick - would love to e-mail you some old family pictures of them in Berwick - Oh! We are African Americans - Let's talk. Sincerely, Drevelyn Matilda Minor

Are you the son of Doyle or Everett? My dad was B. B. Box. I see you had a note from a Levy. I remember Dad talking about Arthur Levy and their trips to Colorado. Please let me hear. Elaine/Mexia, TX ebluke@glade.net

Hi, My sister sent me your album of Berwick. I was born and raised in Berwick. You have some great pictures. Most are from way before I was born. Is your Dad, Doyle? If so, he was friends with my Dad. Do you have any more photos of Berwick or Morgan City from the 1940's? My e-mail is glyndupont@atvci.net. I really enjoyed going through you album.
