I have so been enjoying your photos of the 84 fair here in New Orleans! I was only 15 and only managed to attend the fair 1 day. I saw most of the attractions I knew I wanted to see and a little more; although my memories are pretty vague. It was such a beautiful fair and I was so amazed at how they transformed a section of the city into a closed fair site. I worked a few blocks from the former fair site in the early 90's and would enjoy walking around looking for remnants of the fair and trying to figure out what areas/buildings were a part of the fair from my limited experience their that 1 day. By chance, I am now a Civil CAD Technician and work with Civil Engineers and Urban Planners. Your photos of the site are the best I have ever come across and have not only helped me remember the fair site but also why remembered things being seemingly laid out a little differently than how they are now. Thanks very much for sharing them!
