Fantastic images! I was in Venezia for carnival in 1992 and I was so captivated by the elaborate porzellan masks and beautifully embellished fantastic costumes. It was like walking back in time to the 17th century. Your images here are so lovely! Sharon

Bonjour Roger! Souvent j'ai visité tes albums sur le carnaval de Venise et chaque fois j'étais ravis! J'adore ces costumes incroyables qui font preuve d'autant d'immagination; j'admire beaucoup ta façon de mettre en scènes les personnages devant les coulisses magiques de Venise.... et souvent je suis enchanté par l'harmonie totale entre les masques et leur entourage. Ceci est un album magnifique, à revoir encore et encore.... Mike

Bonjour Roger! I saw your album of last years festival, & this is every bit as beautiful! There are so many wonderful shots, that it is difficult to choose favourites, but choose I did! I especially like nos. 3,13,14,35,40,53,76, and 96! Mainly because of the contrast between the colourful costumes & the backgrounds, but #96 also has a feeling of isolation about it--rather "other-wordly", I think. Anyway, I DO go on!
