Hi Marjie, Thank you for this Beautiful Album. I was able to view the thumbnails and some of the pictures but most of the ones I wanted to comment on would not open. I sorry, I don’t know why Webshots hasn’t fixed this problem it has been like this for I know a week. Oh well Thank you again, Wayne

Hi Marjie, I was just browsing throughyour albums and came across the tulips and blue bells and I knew it was the same Tulip farm I visited last spring. You have some really great shots. It is a small world indeed. Take care, Beth

I have tears in my eyes - you mentioned last month in my Pot Shots album (holding on) photo about your Dad jingling his coins in his pocket - yes, I remember mine doing that also when I was little - we were so fortunate to have our Pop's in our lives for so long - I'm so sorry for not getting back to you as my G/B e-mails were not coming to me after I changed my e-address....having that hot air balloon featured yesterday I'm now seeing all those that had visited....Anyway, thank you so much for taking a peek at my album and taking the time to leave a message. Hi Marjie, Beautiful collection! Tulips are beautiful enough and certainly these are prime proof of that, but in addition to their looks, they come to us at a time when we are desperate for their brilliant colors and renewed signs that another cold and dreary winter is behind us. Greetings from south Florida where, unfortunately, tulips don't stand a chance, Paul. P.S. Thank you for your many and generous notes on several of my albums. Unfortunately, events have conspired to keep me from getting back to you sooner and have put me way behind on my e-mail.

'Ladylike' is something new to me, in connection to tulips. What I do no like in tulips is that they (at least in our climate) open their flowers fully. I know a lot of people who hate tulips to open their flowers, but I don't. Have you read 'Special Topics in Calamity Physics' by Marisha Pessl. This week I bought and saw the dvd of Gone with the wind, which I had seen for the last time in 1955... So now for the rest of you pics.

Hi Marjie, What a beautiful album and as you said it makes a gorgeous presentation on slideshow. Your captures are stunningly beautiful and I am so pleased you sent me the invitation to view the beauty that lies within. I can understand your longing for spring and also your concern for the tulips. I pray that they will be all right and suffer no damage, it would be so sad if damage befell these exceptional flowers. Hugs Leslie

Hello (again) Marjie. I was going to ask why the weather was so changeable but I have since noticed that you have made several visits to this tulip festival. I'm not surprised either with sights like you've captured in this album. Awesome is all I can say. I have always wanted to visit the tulip fields in Holland. Maybe I'll get there one day. After this taste as to how they must look, I really ought to make the effort. Thank you for all your most generous comments about our flowers in our garden. You are very kind. Hugs, Jayne xx

Hi Marjorie!! Nice album!! Photo 18 shoes a variety tulips is called princes Irene; she is the sister of Queen Beatrix. The only really beautiful princess we had... See Google pictures.... The blue ones are muscari's. Here spring was awfully late (about one month) and then all flowerbulbs flowered more or less at the same time; making for a gorgeous Keukenhof. It is all over know... Whenever you come to visit the keukenhof around april 23 or so (best time!) ; do let me know; I will show you around... Experimenting with the setting may be fun, but also may mean disaster. If you want to start experimenting; start with AV (aperture...) if you do close-ups.. You can learn to influence the DOF; blurriness or not of the background. have a lot of fun!.. Greetz Anna

Hallo Marjie, Thank you for the kind comments you left in my questbook. Although the geese story has been viewed 1099 times, people not always take the afford to leave a message. The album about South Africa has been viewed almost 3000 times :) and lots of downloads. As I am a member of Flickr.com also and a lot of time goes into this site, I haven't had much time to upload photo's to webshot anymore:) Your album about the tulips are great. I will visit the Keukenhof next week. This is the biggest outdoor bulb show in Europe. Maastricht is a lovely place (lived there just after the war till 1949). Hope you will be able to visit it soon:) Greetings from Holland. Rita

Hi Marjie, I loved your photos of tulips and am jealous that you had the better weather (cloudy) for the perspective photography. In Utah we are blessed with too much sun and when the gardens do not open until 10am one is forced to do close-up shots with someone holding a diffuser. By the way the name you are trying to remember is Andre' Rieu and the venue in Piazza della Repubblica in Cortona is probably is smallest that he has ever played in! Best regards, Terry SLC, Utah

Hi Marjie, Great album, as are all your albums. I've been hovering over my small garden looking for something new every day. I'm planning to visit an arboretum soon, but I think it's still too early. Few more days, and we will have an "orgy of colors" around. :)) Can't wait. Thank you for your nice comment in "about us". Same to you. Best, Roza

WOW..These photos are most beautiful, we have still cold nights, but the tulips are not far away. And Yes - it is sister-city. We learn about Seattle at school, but it is some years ago now. In one of the parks in Bergen is a big, I am not sure about the name, totempel ?? It is a big wooden sculpture, a gift from Seattle, I belive in 1970 when Bergen celebrated 900 years jubilee. I have to got a photo of this sculpture. Have a nice day. Your friend EVA
