  • Hello Ken, wow great pics, I hope to visit later in the month, I have an island for sale in Penrhyn. I created Survivor Aitutaki page on my blog with maps, photos and aerial images of the area being filmed... http://private-islands.blogspot.com/2006/05/survivor-series-13-aitutaki-cook.html Please contact me as I am creating an update on the filming and would like if possible to use some of your images? I too love the McBurney house on One Foot Island, ah wish I owned that one! I have detailed satellite and aerial imagery of the entire atoll. You have great compositional skills & a great eye for beauty. Keep up the good work & thanks for your visit & nice comments on my pictures. Have a nice day from New Mexico "The Land of Enchantment".

  • Alliefarrell - Cook Islands Moari (related to New Zealand Moari, Tahitian and the other Polynesian languages - including Hawaiian) is the native language in Aitutaki and the Cook Islands in general, though everyone also speaks English (the Cooks used to be part of New Zealand). Ken

  • I think I am going to move to Aitutaki on the strength of your albums alone; I am going to need to become independently wealthy first, though. Your photos are really great, they show your love of the island so clearly, and you are a very good photographer. Thanks for your tempting and terrific shots, Allie, St. George, Ontario, Canada. P.S. What is the main language of Aitutaki?

  • Hey Ken, Lots of great shots. I really liked the one foot island pics, I wish I had taken more pictures from your angles when I was there (I might have to borrow one or two of yours). The pics I took at one foot are from the other side, as you will soon see. The cross island hike pics are great as well, made me feel like I was right back with "pa". The up was no problem, the down was big problem for my wife and I (it had rained the night before our hike) all mud. Thanks for the kind comments on my pictures, now on with married life. - - - - Mike
