  • Hi Malcolm. Thanks for your reply about Jan H Joubert. I bought his book on 4X4 Routes in Namibia and I realise clearly that he not only loved exploring the land, but that he also had a great appreciation of and respect for the land, nature - and the people. He was a great man. You were lucky to have traveled with him! I dearly want to travel roughly the same route as your group did, except perhaps to leave eastwards, through the Khovareb Schlucht, after reaching Sesfontein and Ongongo. Your photographs (and descriptions) have been of tremendous interest to me. Kind regards, Danie.
