Bonjour Gerard and Happy Bastille day! I haven't visited your page for a while, and it was my loss, for you have compiled a great album here of your trip in Cantabria. You always find such wonderful gems, and you have captured them will really excellent compositions. Thank you for your recent comments, but I don't understand Yiddish... You will have to explain me and tell me some anecdotes on your visit. Hope things will calm down long before that. In Haifa things are OK but we are not back to routine. The situation is worse in Nahariya and Safed. On Tuesday I am going for a trip in Romania for 8 days and will be offline. Hope you and yours are having a good time and preparing your next album. Hi Gerard, it's always a pleasure to hear from you. Thanks for visiting my Flame Tree album. These trees are spread in many locations in Tel-Aviv. However, I never noticed them until this year so I can't tell when they were planted here. The fruit is not edible, as far as I know. I also did not notice any fragrance. But these trees are very beautiful. I hope you'll have a chance to see them in your next visit. We are very lucky with the climate, having these trees growing here. We are less lucky with our neighbors... these are not easy days for us. I hope things witll calm down soon. Best wishes, Yair.

No t'havia escrit encara en aquest àlbum? En canvi l'havia vist, pero ara acabo de detindre'm més amb els detalls... Tens origens càntabres? Perque ho coneixes tot molt bé... El àlbum es preciós, et il dégage un petit air tout frais, semi-pluviós... En fi, del Nord d'Espanya, què més es pot afegir a això? Ja varem passar un dia a Barna (molt atabalat!), i ara tenim unes ganes bojes de tornar al Mediterràni!!!! (dins de 8 dies contats "c'est reparti!"), a veure si ens omplim de iodo, de sol, de caloreta (pero no massa) i d'energia positiva... Crec que desprès tocarà descansar, perque ja no em queden gaires "piles" (de tant correr amunt i avall, estic agotada!!!!!) Una forta abraçada, Llum

Olá Gérard! Que prazer imenso percorrer este lindo e interessante álbum cheio de belíssimas fotos, e ler as tuas maravilhosas explicações cheias de pormenores históricos interessantíssimos e estórias deliciosas. Autênticas relíquias, todos estos estes lugares maravilhosos e antigos e este também! Peço-te desculpa por só agora te visitar, mas tinha começado as minhas limpezas e pinturas de Primavera quando o meu esqueleto me declarou guerra, ficando assim muito limitada a minha permanência no computador. Toda a minha actividade no Webshots ficou muita atrasada... Estou a tentar recuperar. Tinhas-me oferecido gentilmente a hipótese de trocarmos estacas dos nossos cactos. Eu adorava ter filhotes desse teu híbrido que floresce no natal e na Páscoa! Eu tenho apenas o da Páscoa e o do Natal que tu tambem tens já... a vantagem seria toda minha:) Tenho outros cactos claro, mas daqueles com muitos picos, lol. Vi num dos álbuns da nossa amiga Joana que vocês se encontraram. Não é maravilhoso como a fotografia pode unir as pessoas? Também eu um dia destes me encontrei com uma amiga holandesa aqui do Webshots e passei um dia maravilhoso. Quem sabe se um dia não nos conheceremos também? Um forte abraço de Portugal, Rosa

Hi Gerard, thanks for another guided tour. I enjoyed visiting Cantabria this time, although I had some problems with the captions... Thanks for visitng my albums and for the recipe for growing the flamboyant tree. The streets of Tel-Aviv are painted red these days thanks for this beautiful tree. I'm afraid that by the end of August you won't be able to see that, but I'm not sure about it. Just can't recall how long the flowers bloom. Wishing you a wonderful day, Yair.
