Uwe, this is an intersting look into your surroundings. The Strandkörbe are similar in some ways to beach chairs in warmer areas but obviously provide more protection. Thanks again for this glimpse into life in another part of the world. Bill

Wow! What a perfect situation to the beach! Renting a chair would be much better than backing your own. It was evident in a couple of your images that people even hang their laundry from the chair! lol I like the dog resting also. Thanks for sharing with us. Best wishes, Lynn

Thankyou so much for going to so much trouble. I am amazed! I have seen deck chairs in England, but nothing like this before. Are they fixed to the sand or are they something that is moved into position when you rent one? On some beaches here the sand disapears and comes back at different times or to another beach. Can you lock them and walk away knowing your possessions are safe? Some of the big city beaches that are crowded have problems with theft. My beach is nearly empty. This has been wonderful to look through thankyou so much! .. regards poppy

Nun der Vorschlag: In Ihrem englischen Vorpann wuerde ich einige Aenderungen vornehmen. Ich wuerde den Text so gestalten: A "Strandkorb" is a beach chair, which protects against wind, sun, rain and sand;it is rented out to tourists in Germany on the beaches along the North Sea and the Baltic Sea. Bitte verstehen Sie dies nicht als "Besserwisserei" sondern als Hilfe unter Leuten mit gleichem Interesse Gruss eehle
