Hello Marlis, What beautiful flowers you found in Cameroon, it has been a pleasure to view them. I am still amazed at the size of the Poinsettia, my goodness, that is amazing! Thank you for your comments. I got my camera and the same two lenses that you have but my photos are not turning out well at all, ha. I guess I need a lot of practice and a few lessons. Have a terrific weekend, Candy

Hello Marlis, you asked about the Flamboyant tree, it is also called Poinciana and has many more names. The single flower of the Yellow Poinciana is significantly smaller, only about 2-3 cm. And the shape of the orange or red Flamboyant tree - or Royal Poinciana is different. The tree does not get tall but covers a great area with his shadow. The Yellow Poinciana is very tall and most impressive. I've made albums of both trees separately. - Galit

Hi Marlis, thank you for your wonderful messages in my guestbooks! I am happy I brought you some nice memories of Africa. And those strawflowers you told me about: I once tried to make those arrangements, but they did not last long. They fell apart after a month because of the high humidity. :-( Your flowers are incredible! I like it that you do not only capture the flower but their special environment! It is a pleasure to look at them! - Marlis, take care, - Galit

Spectacular Flora of Cameroon photos...Now this is an album I can 'sink my teeth into' ha Gloriosa Lily is so unusual and the Bird of Paradise so unusual from the one's I know. Next trip, count me in....please. Thank you Marlis for the tour of your wonderful Cameroon. Loree
