Album Description:
When you think of Peru, you think of Machu Picchu. Of course, it lives up to its reputation of a 'must-see' destination. There is more to Peru. I was very impressed by the colours of Peru and the endearing quality of their friendliness.

Hi Suresh, thank you very much for visiting my new album of masks. I'm pleased to hear that you enjoyed your visit. Hi Suresh, it's always a pleasure to hear from you. I'm glad you like my new album of Doors. Indeed, there are some 'severe' doors, which more or less loudly say 'No Entry'. These belong usually to rich people that don't like the rest of the people to disturb them... unfortunately, I cann see that in many neighborhoods. Wishing you a wonderful weekend, Yair.

Suresh, What a wonderful album of Puru! I have a friend who is from there who speaks of it often. I've tasted many delicious Peruvian foods; but, I've never been there. It was a treat for me to see all the beautiful photos in this album. It was like being there myself as you are very skilled with many techniques - great subject material, lighting etc. I;m going to send the link for this album to my friend as I know he will love looking at his homeland that he's been way from for about 6 years now! Thank you for all the time you spend making a great photo record of your travels; and, thank you for sharing! With best regards and good wishes to you~~~ Jodi

Dear Suresh, Thank you so much for all your wonderful messages on my Romania album. I'm sure future visitors will also enjoy your knowledge and humor. I have to say that, on average, people in Romania seemed less joyful than in other places I've visited. I've already visited poor places and met people that were enthusiastic merely about meeting strangers. You know what I mean from your journey. In Romania many people seemed indifferent, which was very sad. I guess it has something to do with their suffering under Ceausescu's regime. I believe it will change with time. About the gypsies, according to Wikipedia, most of them speak the local language of where they reside, but traditionally they speak Romani, an Indo-Aryan language likely derived from Sanskrit. Romani is also related to Pothohari, and perhaps to Sinhalese. Romani itself is not currently spoken in India. Thank you, my friend, for your warm wishes. All the best, Orly

I sincerely enjoyed taking a closer at your Peru album! I was so impressed with the quality of photos. You mentioned having been on the look out for orchids while at Machu Picchu. The two times I was there was around the months of January and February which is the more rainy season of the year in that part of the upper Amazonia. You probably trecked by hundreds of the orchid plants (which are mostly terrestrial) without being aware of them! But the rainy season would have been a trade off against the beautiful weather that you had (not least for photo taking!). The two times I was in Arequipa, it was overcast and we didn't get to see the top of Mount Misty. You really got to see the major highlights of southern Peru and even managed to get in Ollantaytambo, the Colca valley, and even the Nazca lines. I really appreciated as well all the beautiful "people photos / portraits" Your texts were so informative as well. I would have liked to have known where you read up on it all. Unfortunately, I think I made a slight mistake while posting a comment on the "hummingbird" of the Nazca lines resulting in a duplication of my comment. If you would be so kind as to remove one of the duplicates, I would be most appreciative. And thanks so much again for your kind comments. John

Hi Suresh, thank you very much for your very kind words in my album of the Peltophorum ferrugineum tree. It is a beautiful tree! Unfortunately, a week after I made the pictures, the trees were not blooming any more. No idea why all flowers fell to the ground. Now I have to wait for next summer... Best wishes, Yair.

The colours of Peru and indeed the people shine through your images and colourful portraits. I love them one and all. How did you manage to tear yourself away? So glad to hear that you had a good trip to Peru! I believe I have a photo in my Peru album taken in about the exact location as this photo was taken. I'm writing this from a kind of "internet cafe". Look forward to taking a closer look at your album when I'm back in Oslo. Any plans of visiting Norway?

Dear Suresh! Like others have said this album is a masterpiece! You've had an extraordinary journey. I am so happy for you, admire you and thank you for the most talented and dedicated work in creating this album. Ancient and recent cultures, architecture, landscapes, faces and colors - all so wonderfully captured and presented. This album is a rich, fascinating and enjoyable experience and surely deserves a feature. I've had a wonderful trip in Romania, though perhaps not as amazing as yours in Peru. The landscapes were beautiful. The people weren't always keen about beeing photographed, but I believe I took a few good shots both of people and sceneries. I'll post an album when my mind will be more in Webshots, which I hope will be soon. The situation isn't normal yet, but no need to worry about me or my family. Thank you again for your concern, warm words and prayers. Best wishes, Orly

Hi Suresh, We just got back from our cruise in Norway, up to the Ice Cap and into Iceland. When I checked my webshot I was glad to see that you too were travelling. Loved the pictures of Peru. What a great trip, with great comments, great colors and beautiful photography. You got to see a lot more than us. Your trip sounds amazing. We should have our Arctic Cruise pictures up in a few weeks, drop-in an see them if you are interested. As you had mentioned in your e-mail, we did love Iceland...beautiful island, want to go back. Hi Suresh, you are right, Peru has wonderful colors and a lot of very friendly people - and I'll never forget my daughter's last day in Cuzco when a group of 5 males with knifes attacked her and tried to mug her. She through them her bag and ran as fast as never. The next day she flew home. (She had her ticket in a leg bag!), but she had awful dreams for some month - and I have them since then! :-) Your album is lovely full of beautiful people shots which I so much admire! I enjoyed as well the different pictures of Machu Picchu and all the information about the history of the place. There are a lot of brilliant pictures and a lot of very touching captions - as that to #28 for instance. Your scenery shots are incredible! Machu Picchu is a must-see destination - and your album is a must-see and must-be-featured album. Thank you so much for inviting me to this extraordinary experience! - Galit

Hi Suresh, Your album is a genuine masterpiece. The way you portraited the Peruvian people is beyond compare. The landscape and scenery pics are breathtaking, especially Machu Picchu.
