Hello Vera, Jodie from Kansas here. Enjoyed so much seeing your album of Der Prater. Brings back so many fond memories of my so long ago trip to Vienna. I didn't know there was a recent ferris wheel but Der Reisenrad will always be the best. I was wondering if the cars on there still have the maps inside on both sides? Made it so very nice for visitors to identify the landmarks, even though my mother in law could show me as she is Austrian and was born in Vienna. Also when I was looking at the photo of the Pink train I was wondering if the wording on there says "Manner"? That brings to mind those wonderful Manner bars in the pink wrapper with the photo of, if memory serves me correctly, St. Stephens (what a beautiful Cathedral!). Those are so delicious and only once in a great while can I find one here in Kansas, oh how I would love to have one of those right now! One thing I did find kind of amusing is that Budweiser beer is served there in the one photo. With all the wonderful beers you have there it amazes me that Austrians would even want Budweiser! Anyway, thoroughly enjoyed your album and wanted to wish you a great holiday season and will as always be looking forward to those wonderful holiday photo's! Oh, and also enjoyed the "Bears". Puts me in mind of the "Cow Parade" that was here a few years ago with so many beautifully painted cows. Take care, Jodie

Hello Vera, I had to view this album to see what a "Prater" was LOL, now I suppose I should have guessed! Lovely photos that sum up a summers day out. We all loved these places when we were young, might get the chance to go again sometime now we have a grandchild. Thanks for the gb on my London album, an interesting visit but we are not really city people. Eric

How nice to visit the Prater! I have been in Vienna for work, but never made it to visit the Prater. Always too busy! I saw the Prater in movies and know songs praising the beauty and the lots of fun.And so it is nice to - at last - visit this place through your lens! :-) Thanks for all the historic dates! When I went with my children to Germany we always looked for a place to show them something similar to the Prater. In Hamburg they have the Dom, but it is not open all over the year. I have to say, it is very nice to walk around in this place online - without all the time running after the children and LOOKING for the children! I sent to my daughter the link to your album. She asked for it just now, as I told her about it! :-) Thanks for looking at my surprises in nature album! Yes, I was surprise too as I saw all those tiny baby spiders on my PC-screen. Dear Vera. As usual, You are doing a very good photo work. You took me to a tour to place I saw few times. The only thing I had used there long time ago, was the "Risenrat" as all the other toys was in my eyes for youngsters . Thanks for sharing this albom. RAN

Eine echt (farben-)frohe Sammlung lustiger, unterhalsamer, nostalgischer Stimmungen dieses ganz besonderen Parks: es ist eine wahre Freude, hier zu schmökern! Hi, Vera, thanks for your invitation for some summer fun at the Prater with its famous landmark, the Riesenrad. I see you don't have to come to our Disney, SeaWorld or similar theme parks in the US to get some thrills or scary rides, depending on one's courage! I hope you took advantage of everything the park had to offer? A very nice album I am sure a lot of people will enjoy - I did!
