  • Hello & Shalom My Dear Friend:-).. I have been visiting & studying your work in this album for some time now, as many of these images Ted are Bloody Brillent! A term I only use when I am totaly lost for mere words to discribe sincerely Top Class Fine Art photograhy! Which many of these are & that is before your images have had slight proffesional ajustments, just in small leveling, ever so slight cropping & tweaking! Images,9,10, & 3 on this page alone Ted I would slap a copyright on fast, then the rest. Why? because Companies such as Super Stock & others should be knocking your door down offering to Publish them Worldwide. ------------------------- --- Thank you So much for taking the time to write in My Guest books & for your message. Its always such a joy to hear from you. Take Care Dear Ted & God Bless & Prosper you & Your Lovely Faimly, Everfaithfully Bella.

  • The one thing I like about being featured, you get to go to other peoples sites, where you probably never go. These pictures are just beautiful. I was stationed in LA for 4 years. I wish I had this favorite pass time back then. I probably would have made more of an effor to get out. Thanks for sharing. Cat

  • I am so thankful for the existance of WEBSHOTS. If it was not for WS I would have missed a lot regarding amateur photography. The sharing of each other's albums gives us a deeper insight into the beholder's eyes and soul. The photographs are wonderfully majestic and thank you very much for sharing them with us. All the best and God bless you. Paul. Ontario. Canada.

  • Hi Ted thanks so much for the visit and congrats, yep it is certainly something that must be done, compared with old Webshots the views are very low, but the GB's are still high, So lots of answers to them all.Serve me right I suppose for breaking the rules, lol. It is worth trying to get the views back up to where they were. Had a quick look at this lovely album of yours but will have to come back and do it properly, thanks again it is very much appreciated, take care Ken

  • Hey Cajun Buddy!!! So very nice to see your "face" this morning !!- thanks for the sweet message. This was more of a working vacation (helped in-laws move) but of course the camera got a workout also. But it'll be a while before I post an album, this is all still too messy for me. And my return to w/s was rather depressing from the standpoint of friends leaving, views down to 1/3 and just this almost "graveyard silence". I wish I could be half as "pumped" as you sound...maybe I just need a kick-in-the-ol-butt???? Feel free to kick away, LOL. Signed: in limbo in houston....

  • Oh my goodness! Where to start to describe my enjoyment of this amazing album!! You are my "hero," Ted. Your photography is always superb. If only I could download your brain to mine. I wanted to tell you that I was watching PBS the other night. There was a program on about a Civl War steamboat named the S.S. Tennessee. It was caught in a hurricane in 1865 (if I remember correctly), and it sank. When it was located several years ago, many items of enormous value were discovered such as gold pieces and freshly struck silver coins that were never circulated. Because the ship was trying to get to New Orleans, some of those items eventually ended up at Madewood Plantation! I couldn't believe my ears because I had just enjoyed your album about that mansion the same day. I will remember more and tell you in an email. I also want to get some tips from you about my camera. You truly are my mentor whether you realize it or not. You inspire me! I have so much to learn and so many techniques to improve. Thanks for the inspiration, my friend. Tell Connie "Hi" for me. Huge hugs from Tennessee! - Carole

I am very honoured to have been featured on the same day as you. Thank you, my friend, for all the warm comments. I wanted to let you know I deeply appreciate it. I found to my distress today that 41 pictures of my Peru album have disappeared in webshots. I hope it is only a software glitch. I have written to them. Hope it is not a permanent loss. • What an oustanding addition to your already marvelous examination of Southern antebellum culture. The photographs are tremendous, the glimpse of history romantic, the effect upon the viewer somnolent. I feel relaxed from this trip to the plantation. You have recorded a way of life, expressed in architecture and impeccable furnishings, a true view of the way things were for a select few in a society of yesteryear. How well insulated they were from the winds of change building around them until it was too late to outrun the storm. Thanks so much for this view of the past. Fred in East Tennessee USA

  • Hello Ted! Wow! What an album. I enjoyed both of your ablums with the southern plantation homes. Excellent images also. I got so caught up in wanting to see the next image, that I would forget to leave a message under that photo! Silly me! It must be really nice to have all this history in your "backyard!" In the late 1960's I lived in Florida just north of Fort Walton Beach. They don't have the same type of history, but the southern homes were nice. Thank you for taking us along on this wonderful journey. I really enjoyed myself. Best wishes and God Bless, Lynn

  • Hi Ted, another wonderful album of an other plantation. I ask myself how many plantations like those are there in Louisiana. For sure there were a lot, but how many exist still in their full glory. Those places are like out of an old movie and for sure it is not an easy task to keep them untouched from modern changes. In your albums you managed to show them each one in a special light, showing some of the special personality of each place. I love this one more than the others - - - - because of the oaks of course! - Galit

  • Hi Ted, thanks for the invitation! I think this album shows a definite improvement, I liked the interiors (did you use the flash?), the flowers, and the exterior shots at the end with detail in the sky :o) To give the album a bit of more "punch", I would remove some shots, especially at the beginning, where there are some repetitions of the tree boulevard (which is a delight nonetheless). That's a somewhat painful process, and a task that takes long time (the critter album is the result of such filtering, I originally took some 100s of pics and ended up with 27 I was really happy with), but I'm sure people appreciates the results :o) Ciao! Thankyou so much for letting me know about this superb album, I'm sitting here sipping a beer and have thoroughly enjoyed my visit. • Hello Ted! This is breathtakingly beautiful! As much as the mansion is a well appointed one, the setting is simply magnificent. The oak trees lend it an unmistakable regal air. The oak avenue focusses your eye on the mansion, leads you to it and lets your eye rest on the classic style of the verandah and the facade! Loved the interior. It is an understated elegance. No brashness, no unnecessary opulence. Considering the age, it is minimalistic. Love interiors like this. The outlying gardens truly are amazing and offer a great setting for the mansion. You have done ample justice to this great masterpiece. I congratulate you. With admiration and regards, Suresh from India

  • Hi Ted! Wow, I can't believe I'm the first to sign your guestbook! Ted, Ted, Ted, you have truly outdone yourself! I was so wrapped up in this album that my morning cup of coffee sits untouched and cold! Such incredible beauty captured to perfection! I wish I could have been there with you to view this stately plantation! You have brought Oak Alley to life with your masterful art of photography! Simply beautiful album...it will be featured soon!! Thanks for the invite! Take care my dear friend. I will be back later to view your other album. Don't want to fill up your inbox..lol..Hugs galore, DOD
