Hello again Elin, I cannot believe that as a Norwegian this was your first time on a ship! You have captured the voyage & shown your hesitancy well in the photos, now you are qualified for some longer voyages! LOL. Thankyou for your very kind words on my Antarctic album, it was an almost mystical experience for me. I was so lucky to get on the trip in the first place & then we had good weather & got in 9 landings, more than most. Also very lucky to be there at that time & not later. You will be familier with the ship from the Hurtigruten run up the Norwegian coast. Perhaps the news did not get to GC but it hit a rock at end of January, no casualties but all passengers had to be evacuated & the last 3 cruise of the Antarctic season had to be cancelled. I feel so sorry for those people who may have been planning the trip for years, I know how I would have felt. I see your summer residence is now in Sthn Norway, guess you will miss the solitude, I could never leave Norfolk now & go back to the midlands. When you have more time have a look at my Chilean fjords album to compare with Norway, both are spectacular. Eric
