Great photos. I visited this place more than 40 years ago when I was just a child. I still remembered the sad story. When I saw it then, it was still in the state that it was the day construction stopped. Much of the carved wood banisters were still in the crates in the entry hall. I often wondered whatever happened. I was thrilled to see that it was completed and refurbished. I will have to plan another trip, now as an older man, to see it in all its intended glory. Thanks for posting the pictures, and reminding me of a wonderful day that I had with my family so many years ago.

Congratulations for a wonderful series of photos. I visted there about 50 years ago with my mother. As a child, it was a big exciting castle and I had visions of knights in shining armour. On the other hand, my mother was quite emotional about the romantic story behind the castle. I will have to go back sometime with my wife.
