Album Description:

This small town on the eastern edge of southern Italy, in Puglia, is home to a group of dwellings known as the Trulli. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The buildings have been built this way since prehistoric times, using a dry stone wall technique.

    • ci sono stata anni fa, e' davvero una cittadina deliziosa! E i trulli anche in estate sono molto freschi. Belle foto che mi hanno fatto ricordare. - Paola

    • hello Beth. I've just viewed this album on full screen slideshow and it is wonderful. People who don't look at albums this way don't know what they are missing out on. Anyway, I really came in to say a big Thank You for your good wishes on my featured Spring Comes to Western Australia album at the end of last week. It was great to see you again and wonderful to read your nice comments. Take care and a big hugs. Peter in Western Australia

    • Hi Beth. I am so very pleased you visited Alberobello. I have longed wanted to go there myself, but in the many years that I have been holidaying in Italy, I have never managed it. I am truly fascinated by the style of architecture which I know is unique to this town only. What happened to the weather? No 'blue' sky. Very unusual for Italy, especially in the summer. Almost unheard of... I'm sure it didn't, however, stop you for having a wonderful holiday. Hugs, Jayne xx

    • One of the most curious places in Italy. Could you please write 'Alberobello'? And it's 'Ostia Antica'. Please forgive an old school teacher...

    • Hi Beth, well it looks as if this year your attention has been Italy, and I know you love it there as well. For once it looks as though the weather has deserted you judging from the downcast skies, but never mind the buildings in the village are a rarity, I see you have a much long album which I will view later, but in the meantime take care and good fortune hugs Ken xx
