Album Description:
Set in the Southern Rockies, Rocky Mountain National Park could be called "the top of the world for everybody." Here treeline and tundra are accessible to all along the park's Trail Ridge Road. Nearly one third of the park is above treeline.

Hi, Sharon. This is a lovely collection you uploaded on my birthday (Oct. 27). Thanks for sharing. You keep impressing me with the superb quality of your photography. By the way, how are the Red Birds doing? I read they're leading the NL Central Division.

Hello Sharon, First let me say that I hope all is well with your eyes. I don't get on WS much anymore but I had some time and since I just visited RMNP recenlty myself, I decided to view your album. You have some really nice shots. I am extremely jealous of the crystal clear reflections in your lake pictures. I wasn't so lucky. Twice I went to Sprague Lake for sunrise. The temp was 41 deg which wouldn't have been too bad except for the 15-20 mph winds. This made the water rough and prevented any reflections. :-( I guess I'll have to go back and visit again. When ellen and I visited we hit a streak of bad weather and had more rain than sun. We ended up hiking in the rain. I'm sure glad we bought those nice ponchos at Eastern Mtn Sports before the trip. I haven't uploaded my pics from RMNP trip yet. I'll get around to it one day. I'm very busy at my new job. Working hard, but not long. I'm very tired in the evening. My trip to CO last month was the first time I took pictures since before I lost my job in April. My photographic motivation is way down. I haven't taken any since I've been home and I haven't uploaded them either. I signed up for a photo workshop in the Poconos next weekend. I'm hoping for good weather, good scenery and I hope my motivation comes back. Hope all is well with you. Regards, Ira

What a terrific slide show this is. I can certainly understand why you are one of the top exhibitors in Webshots. I think that you have done a fantastic job in showing off all that Rocky Mountain National Park has to offer. I spent a full year in Fort Collins, Colorado and visited the park at least once every month so your album brought back many, many pleasant memories. Thanks for sharing this remarkable album.

A lot of people will never experiance being above the tree line. The air is thin and it doesn't take much to start puffing like a train. It is cold at noght and the warter is often melting out of a snow bank. But the veiws like you are showing make it all worth while. Thanks for showing the rest of us these great photos.

Sharon, Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving. I enjoyed this album. Ellen and I have decided to go here next year for a vacation (she says she'll give me one more chance but if I fall again she won't go anywhere with me!). I was just wondering if you remembered where you stayed while you were there and if you liked it. Also if there was anything about the park that you really liked that we should definitely not miss. Thanks, Ira

Hi Sharon, I'm coming back to check out this CO album! I'll look at the pics after I write, but I can tell you already that I know it's going to make me homesick! Our home out there is in escrow, as it will probably be years before we can think about going back. Not an easy decision, but one that had to be made! Thank you for all the info on Abby. I am sorry that she has to go through so much pain & will definitely keep her in my prayers. Thank you so much for your prayers for Michelle. She, too, endures much pain and discomfort without complaining. Aren't these girls AMAZING!!! I honestly don't think people would be saying the same about me if I was going through what they are! Our new little Sunshine is bringing so much love & joy into our house. She has been the comfort that Michelle has needed during this time. Thank you for your continued prayers...mine will continue for Abby as well! Love and hugs, Lynn

Hi Sharon and Bob,another very beautiful album of the Rockies. Fantastic shots all. This brought back memories from the late 70's. When my kids were young we took two summer vactions in Estes Park, they still talk about it....You know I have always believed that you and Bob could walk on water when it came to shooting these wonderful scenes but now I know your secret. This is a wonderful album with lots of stunning views. I am partial to colorful reflections so you probably know which photo I downloaded. Your keeping everyone in suspense regarding the location of some of the photos. Your elk pictures were a lot of fun, too; but I'm actually partial to the brown cows. Keep up the good work. This was a nice Thanksgiving treat.

Hi Sharon, from previous times that the stats were frozen I know that also the most Recent were not working. When it will work, it will advance few days at once so do not expect this album to be one of the most recent, unless only few are added each day to the category you put it in. Wishing you a wonderful Sunday, Yair. PS: according to WS you created that album on 24th, just like my new album (which was also my birthday...).

CONGRATULATIONS you two! As we would say in German (and I have a hard time translating this in English): Mir bleibt die Spucke weg! I almost stopped breathing I was gasping so much! Perfect shots all the way around, perfect weather perfect scenery. This is only about 6 hours or so north of the part of the Rockies we visited in the Southern Rockies but even more spectacular. I dream of going back during fall when the awesome aspen trees change colours, and maybe a trickle of snow falls on the high elevations. That is the only thing which could enhance this experience! Thanks a million for the invite, Sharon, and yes...I am drooling in anticipation of the followup album...Big huge cowgirl hugs from Houston. Marita

I am speechless!! What can one say about these awesome photos?? No words could do them justice! I don't know how you & Bob do it but you always come up with the best there is no matter where you go. I would give my right arm to have been there with you even if I can't really hike like that anymore. :--( I especially liked the photos taken along Old Falls River Road. We only drove that once & that was back in 1984!! Way too long ago to really remember much. Thanks so much for taking me on this trip. I will take it again many times I am sure. Hugs, Flo

Hi Sharon and Bob! Thanks for sharing this wonderful world with us! You really did a great job! Difficult to find a picture that is not a masterpiece... You have been lucky to have beautiful wheather with blue sky, mostly no wind to get awesome reflections and having just the right light for these awesome colors! Brief: Fantastic album! Love and hugs, Heinz and Käthi

Hi Guys! I looked at this album on slideshow through my webshots desk top and that makes the photos as big as the monitor. They are all absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. I'm looking forward to looking at the next part of your trip. Thanks for the invitation and thanks also for sharing. Hugs and handshakes Al.

Hi Bob and Sharon! I'm glad you sent an invitation because you aren't showing up on my pop-up. Gorgeous job as always. I hope we can get there some day before we're using walkers:-))) I wish WS would just show the pictures at full resolution so I wouldn't have to click so much:-))) I saved a bunch at full size for my screen saver. They look a zillion percent better that way. Are you cross-eyed yet from looking, sorting and etc all those photos? Thanks for sharing with us. Lots of hugs, Jane

Hi Sharon & Bob, I know this album was a partnership :o). Such amazing landcapes and beautiful color. Wonderful mountains & lakes. Need I say more?? You bet. I'm certain that this trip was worth every mile you put on your vehicle. I was excited to see that your album was posted and knew it would be wonderful. Thank you for all the time and effort that went into preparing your album to share with us all. I also hope you both are enjoying the Autumn weather. It's been beautiful here until the cold damp rain hit this past weekend and hasn't stopped yet. God bless & I hope you both are fairing well, Ray
