Their size is sometimes so big that You fall in giggling when You discover them for the first time! Not only their huge size can be amazing but also their strange voracious behaviour can bring fun as when they attack temples in Cambodia.

  • A truly original and interesting album. The baobabs always stayed in my mind after I read "The little Prince" by A. Saint Exupery. The Photos are formidable. My friend Jacques, Thank you very much for sharing

  • Hi my friend Jacques, you have managed to amaze me with this gigantic album of gigantic trees. Back in Mauritius I saw the Baobab as a child but I missed the giant one in Vancouver during my last visit there 8 years ago! I'll take this opportunity to share with you another of my passions which is music, I play the guitar and sometimes sing. One of my regular venues is playing in hospitals and homes for mentally sick people but I have played my own style of music with my classical guitar in cafes during my times off work. Recently I got together with my friend Bob Loomis, an accomplish guitar player, composer/singer/songwrite r, and blended our talents together in a fusion of classical/electrical sound and uploaded some of them on My Space for the world to enjoy. Here is the URL: www.myspace.com/sonictrut h1 . Please enjoy and maybe Pierre would like to listen to them too!! Regards from Paul.

Recevez mes tres sinceres amities. Martial

  • Hello Jacques, sorry for being so late in responding to your invitation to see this beautiful album. Usha and I have been travelling in northwest Karnataka, looking at some old temples of 5th century belonging to Chalukyan empire. This album is a marvel, not for just the size of the trees, but for how well you have put them together. Whether it is the Baobab in Senegal, or the giant Sequoia in Canada, or the magnificent trees in Angkor, you have done them justice in capturing their majesty and size. I am glad you have put these pictures together from your vatious trips. This is truly a very enjoyable album. Best wsihes, Suresh

  • I looked at the additions and I am definitely in awe with those Cambodian trees! They repel and attract at the same time! Their thirst for destruction creates beauty! What a confusion of values!And.....don't be shy, plaese, give us more! Amicalement, Gabriela

  • Oh Jacques! How I love this album! I've loved trees so much since reading about trees in Joyce Kilmer's poem about trees. Perhaps my great interest lays in the fact that I grew up in West Texas where trees were most likely to be found in storybooks or magazines. We had an abundance of sage brush, tumble weeds and cacti - not trees! Trees have long been one of my favorite things at which to look. Often, I'll find myself absorbed in studying the formation of the branch structures of many kinds of trees (in case I want to paint one someday!) Needless to say, I had a field day "watching" all the trees in your great album. I've seen quite a few large ones of several variets; but, NONE can touch the splended giants you have captured here. A very impressive album! Thank you for sharing it with us here @ Webshots! You're the BEST! Hugs, Jodi
