Album Description:

So many images of the city abound on Webshots, but none actually show the city itself. Take a look at the images of this famous Georgian World heritage site. Images of some of the costumes worn in the TV film of Jane Austen's "Persuasion" are here.

  • Wish I would have had more time in England than just London a few weeks ago! I'd love to see Bath, walk around in the alley ways of this treasure of a city....I do love to post the tourist shots on Webshots but really I am a "nook and crany" "go where no tourist has gone before" type of person. To understand the place we've been we do have to explore it's "guts". Thank you for showing us that there is more to this fabulous place than the images (albeit beautiful) I've seen 100times over :D!Have a wonderful day, Mike! And than you so much for your kind and supportive message, hopefully this person has finally stopped her foul-mouthed attack and insults, although she is still around, and we can just all start feeding on the positives of webshots :D. • Well my Friend, Thank you for taking me along and being such a wonderful guide. I loved bath when I have visited it a long time ago and the nice thing is, it has not changed. That is always the wonderful thing about historic places, you can return and they look the same. You are a well of information and I ask myself how can anyone have so much knowledge in one brain. I am impressed.A big hug Marlene

  • Hi Sissy and Judy. I'm very pleased that you like this album, and your notes are wonderful, and useful. Judy, the Royal Crescent and indeed some of the smaller ones, like Norfolk and Camden Crescents, are indeed used as Flats, or Apartments as you say in the USA. Some of them are even social-housing, rented from housing charities, called "Housing associations" It was deemed a good way to keep them occupied. Of course many are actually owned by the residents. So glad you liked these pics, though slightly disappointed that there are no downloads as yet: perhaps they will come, don't know, it's not terribly important.
