TULUM, Quintana Roo [state] Mexico. A walled-in [fortified] Maya site overlooking the Carribean. The Maya civilization was past its peak during the building of this picturesque site. The decadent structures reflect this notion. Earliest dates: 700-1000 AD.

Totally amazing! It looks so peaceful! I bet it is a very nice place...away from too much civilization? Or are these pic's decieving?
