Hi Merike, Thank you very much for sharing these pictures of Barcelona. The photographs are all well composed and they bring back memories for me. When I think back to my visit there in 1979 and how the world has changed since then and how different my life and the life of my Spanish friend, with whom I was staying, have been from what we imagined!! The idea that I would be sitting here at my computer downloading images of this place never entered my mind for one moment. How technology has altered everything! Barcelona, I am told, has undergone massive economic growth since I was there. I expect that as a result the ambiance will have changed too. Thank you very much for your comments in my new albums. This time we were in an entirely different part of Keukenhof. It was the day of the Flower Parade and apparently there were about a million people in Lisse then. No the wonder it was so crowded! Merike, I enjoyed visiting Barcelona through your eyes. I've never been to that city yet and hope to be there in the future. So much to see! WS works very slow for me so I will have to postpone visiting your other albums to another day. Thanks for your kind comments in some of my albums here and in Fotki. sorry for being late to reply. I was very busy this week due to the POTD. It was a great opportunity to visit albums of members that I'm not familiar with and to see new activity by many of my old friends. Hi Merike, I'm glad you posted an album of Barcelona. I love this city. The last (second) time I stayed in this town was in 2000. At that time I did not have a digital camera, so I want to go back some day. You gave me a lot of inspiration for my next visit and for an hotel to stay. I hope you had a pleasant vacation without surprises like mugging or being ill like last time. I enjoyed your many messages in my holiday album. It made me laugh that you compare that silver cat to Garfield. Who knows, maybe he is a VIP-Garfield. You asked who is a Cohen. A Cohen is a priest. Cohen is a very usual Jewish name.
