Alles Liebe Brigitta

  • Hello Vera, thank you so much for your kind messages over the last busy month. Actually it's already more than 3 month that I am busy and I even can't say what I was doing all the time! :-) My Grandchildren take a lot of time and it is primetime! Maybe that's why the time is flying!:-) I don't know why I missed this album. It is just what I love most: scenery with beautiful trees. Cemeteries always have beautiful trees! This cemetery is really more like a wonderful park! Vera, have a great weekend - ehhhh - what is left of it! - Galit

  • I just love these photos, for some reason I find graveyards peaceful and contemplative places to wander around. It's a shame most don't allow dogs or I would visit more.

  • Hello Vera, this is a wonderful album of beautful pictures. Cemeteries are interesting places, as your album shows. I have an album titled "Down Among The Dead Men" taken in a cemetery in Sydney. It's very different from yours, but you may be interested to see it some time. Many thanks for your comment on my "Hastings River Morning 2" album; you are so kind. Best wishes from Keith.

  • Halloeli, liebe Vera! Immer was interessantes auf deiner webseite! Cheers, Marita

  • Dear Vera, I am very fond of old cemeteries and always make it a point to stop and spend time whenever I find one. They make such interesing historical records, and, as you noted, are such peaceful places. These are wonderful photos. And thank you again for your visits to my albums and for all your sweet comments. I am happy to hear that you are a bird watcher too. The area of the Birds and Old Bisbee album is southeastern Arizona, about 80 miles from Tucson. It is a famous wintering area for many birds including the sandhill cranes and snow geese. There is always a bald eagle there, as well as many hawks, owls, ducks and lots of small songbirds. A bufflehead is a pretty black and white duck. Bisbee is an old copper mining town that is now home to many artists and intersting characters. My husband and I like to go there and stay in a Bed and Breakfast, from which there are many to choose. You are fortunate to live in such a marvelous city as Vienna. We were there many years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. All the best to you. Carole

  • What an interesting change of focus for this old cemetery. It looks like it certainly would be romantic and quiet. Historic preservation is so important. Thank you for sharing. ... Thank you also for your warm comment on my Florida Sunrise/Sunset album. I never tire of watching the beauty overhead! ... Be well, my friend, ladybug hugs, Judy

Mike

  • Dear Vera: Well done, as usual. At one point in my life, I was the clerk of our parish cemetery. It was a much younger one, founded in 1821, but still in use. I enjoyed going over the old records, which could hardly be called that. There is no more peaceful place. Ron, Massachusetts
