Philippines is my birthplace and my hometown too. Thanks for sharing this beautiful album Mary Ann. And I feel homesick after I saw your albums. Again salamat sa mga magagandang larawan mo. At ipagpatuloy mo lang ang pag update ukol sa ating bansa lalo na sa mga Pinoy at Pinay na nasa ibang lugar. At magandang gabi sayo kabayan.

Mary Ann - Congratulations on your Photo of the Day! I had no idea about these rituals or these places so I appreciate learning something new - thank you for providing me/us with new information and experiences through your photos! Also, I love the vibrant greens of your pix and the splashes of red - very good job!

Hello Mary Ann, these are splendid photographs of the Tagtag rituals being followed. In Asia, as in many other parts of the world, rituals form an important part of culture and tradition. You have taken great effort to capture this tradition. Your photographs are very sensitive, elaborate and educative. I thank you sincerely for sharing this album. Best wishes, Suresh

My Dear Friend Mary Ann, This is a wonderful album about the rich tradition of the Tagtag Teams and the blessing of the rice fields. How I miss so many aspects of life in Philippines. Thankfully you do a great job of capturing photos of all the things about PI that are dear to my heart and it eases my moments of "homesickness" when I look at the photos you have posted here at Webshots! Thank you for this journey home and for all the others that you have posted to your homepage of WS albums! Take care, you are always in my prayers, thoughts and heart. Jodi

I love everything You do--It's an inspiration to Me. Some of the rituals are similar to the Cherokee people about 60 miles from Me. I have Indian ancestry in my past and it kindles the Spirit of "CONNECTION" to our world and those that share that connection, whether it be photos or living it!--Thank You Mary, I look forward to more.------CRAZYWOLF77

Mary Ann, This ritual is striking, in color, dress and dance. Most of the dancers that I could see are of the older generation, any reason the younger generation isn't more involved? Thank you for your invitation to view. My best regards to you and yours. ron/oregon coast
