Album Description:
Garrison Keillor, famous entertainer, visited the Rhubarb Festival in Lanesboro, MN. He did his Public Radio Show, "Prairie Home Companion" from there. We saw him in the park and I met him. Nice, relaxed and cool person. Very likeable.

Even here on the other side of the world we listen to the PHC. I have been a fan of Garrison Keillor's since I first heard him while I was at college in San Francisco in the 80s, and before the show started on radio here, I followed it via tapes sent by friendly and compassionate Americans. Looking at this album, truly, I would have loved to have been there.

Hello Sharon. Thanks for the invite. This event looks like it was great fun. I have an English friend who lives in Rome, Italy. One food item she misses dreadfully and can't find in Italy is 'rhubard'. Each year when she comes to visit me, she will also ask me to make 'rhubarb crumble' which we have with custard. Oh the thought, is making my mouth water... Take care. Hugs, Jayne xx

I really love it when we share the festivals that are unique to the areas that we live in or visit-and you did a great job of photojournalism with this one. Terry

Hi Sharon, what a hoot! I grew up on good old rhubarb; my mother knew more ways to prepare rhubarb than I can remember. A great theme for an album; thanks for inviting me to share the experience. Just wish there were free samples with your album (can you work on that?). Hugs from Keith

Looks like you had a super time. Here in Montreal, we have a Jazz festival, a festival just for laughs (my favourite), but the food related festivals tend to be a lobster festival, a muscles festival, but I know of no festival that involves pies, and I am a huge fan of Strawberry-rhubarb pie.... and they call this civilization!...Lloyd

Great Album and I have heard Garrison many, many times. He is a funny guy. And I do love Rhubarb a lot. And you made me hungry and jealous all at the same time. All those cakes, cookies and rhubarb. Then you showed all of that beauriful greenery and water. Boo hoo.

Dear Sharon, What a great day out and it reminds me so much of our village fetes kind of atmostphere. Rhubard is lovely to eat but I've never heard of a festival just for it before LOL Take care now and thanks for the invite. Love and Hugs Jill

Hi Sharon, you sure can't beat some homemade rhubarb jam. Didn't see much fully grown rhubarb at the rhubarb feastival, maybe the name of it isn't what it focuses on. All the best, George

I am "GREEN" with envy, Sharon! This visit was fun and different, been to Strawberry Festivals, Blueberry, but NEVER to Rhubarb. Oh, and your countryside looks so yummy fresh and green, Razz (my trusty stead) wanted to stay for some of that beautiful grass (he didn't care about the Rhubarb, go figure :D...) Thanks so much for the invite and have a fantastic day! Marita

Hi Sharon! It looks like you had beautiful weather for the "rhubarb" day. I didn't know you could make all those things from it. As far as I know, down here they just "stew" it and have it with icecream or make rhubarb pies. Catch you later mate! Hugs Al

Hi Sharon thanks so much for the invite to see this album. Looks like you had a fun time there. Nice to see you getting out and about. Loved the rhubarb tables. I think I'd like one out the back for the birds, it would look great and be quite a conversation piece:o) Love and Hugs Chris and Jay
