Hi Kaeti Thank you for visiting my Antarctica album, and for your very nice comments on the pictures.Yes. The picture of the penguin on the iceberg was taken from the ship that was our home for 18 days. I did enter the picture of myself under the "Bird bick shaped rock" into the scale CC. The picture was taken in Kangaroo Island South Australia. I like very much your album of the Pyrenees. I am planing a trip there this fall. Where exactly is this church? Regards Nurit

Liebe Gruesse, Els

Herzlich, Barbara

Hi Kaethi & Henri. What a beautiful ancient church begun around the time of St. Augustine? It was so interesting to see centuries of architecture and art built in to this church. Thank you for sharing this amazing piece of history in so much detail. Wonderful photos and album. Best wishes and thank you for stopping by my album for a visit as well. Oh, I didn't have to cross the log bridge either lol. Ray

Hi Kaethi and Henri, It has been such a pleasurable journey watching the slideshow of this album. I was certainly taken back in the Roman times enjoying both the inside and outside architecture and sculptures and paintings. I have been very busy at work in the tourist industry here in Niagara Falls and will continue until September. Thank you very much for sharing such historic moments with us. Hoping that you are both keeping well. Regards from Paul in Canada.

Hi Kaethi and Henri, I love classical architecture and I love these ancient churches and cathedrals. I particularly like Romanesque exteriors, especially when (like in this case) photographed against that brilliant alpine sky. Interiors, however I find a bit dark even when compared to their gothic cousins. You, however, have not had such problems when photographing these interiors. You have done a beautiful job showing us this classic masterpiece which I hope will endure for centuries more to come. Best wishes from Florida, Paul. P.S. Thank you for your very kind words on my Grad Teton album. I love the place and I hope my pictures show that.

Bonjour mes amours!

Jesus

This church might be old but it's also a very beautiful one and considering the time that passed since it was built and decorated, it's in a good condition. I enjoyed visiting another beautiful album that you share with us. Thanks! Take care, Yair.

Hello Heinz und Kaethi, I like old french villages like Saint Aventin very much. It is situated in one of the most beautiful parts of France. The church is very special, very old. It survived many ages. It is remarkable that it shows so much wonderful and old details from which the meaning is not always clear. Intriguing. You captured them very well. I hope to see a lot more of this french heritage... Salutations, Tjebbe

Dear Kaethi and Henri ~~ Yet another wonderful tour! Too bad so much of the art is lost to time; it would probably be a major undertaking to restore it all. You might be interested to know that this week's photos at http://www.todayismygifttoyou.ie/ are from Lourdes. Love and Hugs to you both ~~ Nancy

Hi Kaethi and Heinz...Very nice to see a church album on a Sunday. It is an ornate church and when I see all the carvings and drawings and representations I wonder how it looked when it was new and how people must have enjoyed this beauty back then. Our church has wonderful wood carvings and many other things that I love to see. hugs and love, Barbara
