Album Description:
Mount Si is the most prominent feature of North Bend, Washington. The rocky mountain's 4167 ft height springs straight up from the Snoqualmie River Valley. It is named after Josiah "Uncle Si" Merritt, who built a cabin at the base of the peak in 1862.

Phillip, Your Mt.Si photos are among the best I've seen.It can be difficult to photograph with the sun almost always casting a shadow on the face until late in the day. I love the misty ones with the sun coming up. You have been to many of my favorite photo locations in the state. One of my photos of the lighthouse at Cape Disappointment was selected for the cover of Earl Emmerson's next mystery novel. He lives in North Bend too. San Juan Island is my favorite place on the planet. I am going to review all of your albums when I get a chance. I know you will have some great new locations that I will want to check out. Thank you so much for your comments on my featured album. Craig (from Lynnwood)

My old stomping grounds. My Grandma and Grandpa lived not far from Mt. Si in Fall City, and my dad went to Mt. Si High school. I never got to climb it.
